Re: Spider-Gwen Fever
Totally a fad. No substance to this one.
If you have the opportunity to sell it right now for $30, do it. The hype is just never going to get higher, and people are going to question the ridiculously high praise in a month or two.
Possibly, but if it is not quality and people turn in it I think ...

Armor Hunters in the lead!
How can you have an unfinished event like Spider-Verse in the poll? Do people really have that much faith in Marvel to not fumble the ending?

Magnus is really good, if you can disassociate it from the original Valiant run.
I really enjoy it on it's own merits.

I have to agree with Chiclo and dornwolf .
This just seems dumb.
Can't Original Sin just suck on it's own? Does it have to retroactively infect titles that were fine without these cheesy, obvious retcons?
Why stop with two people bit by this spider? I don't know anyone in real life who wouldn't ...

Death of Wolverine
So...what did you think?
I doubt anyone is foolish enough to believe that Wolverine is truly dead, but how did you all like the story?
I thought it was pretty fitting. He basically came full circle with the Weapon X Project.
I liked how he had a way out laid right in front of him, in the form of ...

Re: Q2: The Return of Quantum & Woody #1
Reading these replies and some reviews makes me think I'm missing something.
I never read the original Q&W, so maybe that's why I'm totally lost.
Not that it was a bad comic, I was just so confused throughout the entire issue.

Pass.
I just got done with the latest non-event event known as Original Sin. All it ended up doing is wasting a couple of issues of monthly titles I actually like.

Re: Solar, Magnus and Turok
I said yes. They wouldn't have to have ongoing series, but they'd fit in as supporting characters: Magnus in Rai or Eternal Warrior, Solar in X-O, and Turok in A&A.
To be honest, though, I kind of like the Magnus series.

You're not alone.
I was interested based on the advance articles saying it was a murderer mystery, but it's clearly a move to align the comic universe with the movie universe.
Using the Secret Bomb to retcon things is totally see-through, and having Nick Fury be the "man on the wall "doesn't even ...

I thought it was a fun book, with a lot of setup.
Yes, they had me at "hobo ass-map", too. The Goat trying to eat the chia creature cracked me up.
Actually, the whole goofy page with the hippie CEO was great. Especially where the servant holds up two animals and the CEO says "the panda" like he's ...

Re: Letter 44
I liked this comic more and more every issue. I was afraid it was going to be hacky soapbox for the writer's political beliefs, but it goes deeper than that. Obviously, there is a bit of that, since they use the Bush-to-Obama transition as a springboard, but I like how it's not clear-cut, black ...

Re: Am I done with Marvel?
Original Sin has been a total waste of time. It's a transparent attempt to make black Nick Fury the only Nick Fury, simply to be more in line with the movies. Ever since Robert Downey Jr made Iron Man a huge hit, they've been making Tony Stark a bigger and bigger player. Now they're retconning him ...

I just finished Starlight #1 by Mark Millard. I think this one has real potential. I'd say it's the story of Flash Gordon if he returned to Earth and lived a normal life for 30 years. The back page calls it "Buzz Lightyear meets Unforgiven ". I could see that.
Not a lot happened in #1, but I still ...

I'll have to check out The Dead.
Anyone reading Umbral? #4 came out last week, and I have to say, I'm really digging this book. I needed a good dark fantasy in my pile, and this fills that need very well. I just reread the whole run so far, and It's great. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but ...

Has anyone else read The Dead by James Maddox and Jen Hickman?
I guess it's digital-only. I found it on Comixology, and at 1.99, I bought it on a whim.

Cap: Under the Red Hood is previous to Morrison's run, right?
