Silk has huge potential as a character. I think having someone else bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker is a brilliant idea.

Sure, sure... but I suggest a story that Peter should bite the spider back to see what happens to it and every thinks I'm nuts. :?

Isn't that the basic idea for Miles in the Ultimate Universe?

Well... There is a Man-Bat character out there to complement Batman... Could be a gold mine? :?

It's very difficult to bite a spider's back, I would think.

No. A different spider than the one that bit Peter bit Miles.

Seriously? She was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker and we are just now hearing about her?

That's awfully ret-con-ny.

I have to agree with Chiclo and dornwolf.

This just seems dumb.

Can't Original Sin just suck on it's own? Does it have to retroactively infect titles that were fine without these cheesy, obvious retcons?

Why stop with two people bit by this spider? I don't know anyone in real life who wouldn't stomp a spider into a fine red paste if it bit them, but since we've opened those doors, why not add a third person?

the thing that gets me is that she was bit by the same spider, which gave her the powers the Marvel hated giving Peter (organic webbing), and shes shown to be better than Peter who thanks to Slott and Marvel is a dunse at using his own powers.

Has anyone heard any news on Silk in the last day or two? All of a sudden there's renewed demand for the first Cindy Moon appearance as Silk, as well as some of her other appearances.

I think the increased demand for the first Cindy Moon as Silk issue may have something to do with the character's appearance(s) in Edge Of Spider-Verse. I wish I was reading that and knew more. :|

I'm not reading the whole Spider-Verse event, waiting for trade, but did get Spiderwoman #1.
Silk and Jessica are apparently teamed up and the first few issues of Spiderwoman are going to be about their Thelma&Louise style roadtrip through this Spider-Verse saga from what I can tell on the first issue.

Silk does seem to be getting lots of publicity right now. I might pick up a Spider-Verse trade or two also when they hit.

Spider verse has been really good imo. The only thing I would say is don't get to attached to anyone because a lot have been created or brought back just to kill.
