Re: Original Sin
This whole event is just not doing it for me. There doesn't seem to be an actual coherent plot.
Re: Original Sin
yeah man i dug issue 3! this event doesn't seem like much of an event yet. it's better than infinity tho.

Re: Original Sin
I think Marvel and DC have done these non-stop events to death. I mean I am the only one who is sick and tied of this crap: "In this series the New 52/Marvel Universe changes forever....then we do another series 2 months later that changes the New 52/Marvel Universe forever again!"
Know this: I would rather be hated for being honest for my opinions, than being loved as a liar!

Re: Original Sin
You're not alone.
I was interested based on the advance articles saying it was a murderer mystery, but it's clearly a move to align the comic universe with the movie universe.
Using the Secret Bomb to retcon things is totally see-through, and having Nick Fury be the "man on the wall "doesn't even make sense in the continuity they haven't messed with. How did you miss Galactus, numbnuts?

I'm more interested in seeing how the new character Silk develops than I am in this storyline.
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

This could be one of the most important characters ever introduced in the modern era.
Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

Re: Original Sin
I've enjoyed more of the tie-in stories than I have the event itself.
As you all mentioned, the introduction of Silk has been a blast so far, a major addition to the Spidey mythos.
The Daredevil tie-in was interesting, Waid shedding some light on the history of Matt's mother, Sister Grace. Nothing earth-shattering mind you, but the revelations have definitely altered Matt's perceptions on both of his parents.
The Hulk/Iron Man mini was interesting too. Stark started off as a major weapons designer so it makes sense that if Banner created a Gamma Bomb, then Tony would have some say in it's creation. Waid and Gillen showed very well how Tony tampered with the bomb in a way you wouldn't suspect and how the pride of both geniuses played just as big a role in the birth of the Hulk. (Plus, they've showed the scariest Hulk I've seen in quite awhile. Extremis-enhanced that allows Hulk to retain Banner's genius, the fight scenes in this mini were amazing.)
They could have done worse with Angela but making her part of the Thor mythos has been entertaining so far. A lost sister, a hidden realm, a forgotten war, and the rebirth of Lady Loki?! A lot of fun.

Re: Original Sin
I haven't been following any of Marvel's core titles, but if that's what they're doing, I'd say the only place you could reliably get a decent story for the story's sake would be the licenses that Marvel doesn't have the movie and television rights to.CaptnAmerca wrote:You're not alone.
