Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. My wife is doing much better and we are doing better alltogether, just that medical bills were obviously unexpected, and our income has taken a hit since she's not been working and I've been spending a lot of time caring for her (which obviously effects my ...

Valiant Continuity Bible **SOLD**

Hello all,

My wife has been seriously ill over the past several months, so I've been away from the boards. As a result, our finances have suffered. I'm parting with some things that I really don't need to make ends meet.

I have a Valiant Continuity Bible that was printed by a board member and ...

Man, 1188 negs. Yikes!

It looks like this seller is a seller's agent type of seller. U take your stuff to a storefront and their army of winged monkeys create the listing, collect the $ and ship. No real attention to customer service or listing accuracy (check out their terms) - I would never buy ...

No I did not. I have my copy in front of me. Which page is it on John?

It's on page 44 of the May 2005 Issue - imbedded into the incoherent article that tries to make a correlation between indy comics and blue states (which I thought was an interesting study, but without any numbers it didn't ...

So... will you be avoiding his shop(s) altogether,
or only appearing in Shop 1 while he is working Shop 2 (and vice versa)?

$105 is the grand total that I have spent in that very LCS
over the course of the last five years.
(That total is $15 if you subtract my purchases of bags & boards.)

Re: Recomendations?

I've been out of comics for a while, and I've recently been thinking about wasting some mon- ahem - picking up a few new titles. I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations as I have no clue what's even out there right now.

To give an idea of my tastes I've always liked Valiant (obviously ...

I followed this for years (I think it took 10 years for the whole damn thing to come out). They made a movie that came out a year or two ago. Didn't make a damn bit of sense though.

I would suggest finding a collection or trying some of the earlier issues, it's not the easist storyline to just jump in the middle of.

I just noticed this. I sold a CD to a guy last week and he's been hounding me for feedback (I only return feedback and usually only get around to it every two weeks or so) - I've gotten e-mails from him in the last week demanding feedback. So, of couse I think something is up. I checked his feedback ...

I have never read an issue of bone, what exactly is it about and what is the attraction to it!

-A

The story line is well developed and interesting with interesting characters. Overall I think Bone is sort of like Lord of the Rings meets Pogo. Probably if you were a fan of either one, Bone would ...

Postage has gotten exhorborant. As Zeph says, weigh the total of the items and then assume a standard for the packing materials and box. When quotiung a flat rate in an auction, I generally figure mailing from KC to CA or DE - we're lucky that we're in the middle of the US, since it's generally ...

I really don't remember ever having paid taxes on comics in the US.
Go to Delaware or New Hampshire - no taxes on most things there!

This guy's an *SQUEE*, pure and simple. My guess is that the way he lists his descriptions in this incredibly large anoying font makes most people not read it all and then "get" people on the excessive charges. I've been selling stuff on "feebay" since 1998 and while not every buyer has been 100 ...

I've been picking up the trades - I've gotten all of them except Crossgen Illustrated (pin-up book) and I've not decided if I'm going to venture into the compendiums or not, since many of those already include material in the trades. I've picked them up for half price or less including shipping :)

Very nice looking books, I assume the cards come with the books (I see them inserted in the sleeve with the book). Any idea why your scan takes so long to load? It must be huge! I have a high speed connection and it took about 60 seconds to load.

Authority 2nd Series

I've been a little backlogged in my new comic reading and just recently got around to reading the Authority 2nd Series. I thought it was entertaining, certainly Morrison owes a lot to Ellis and doesn't stray much from Ellis' original formula, but it works here as well. I read issues 0-14 and the ...
