my interest
My interest varies by title after what I've read up to today's releases:
Magnus: 4.5 out of 5 LOVE IT
Turok: 3.5 out of 4, like it so far but need to see more
Samson: 2.5 out of 5, could go either way
Solar: 1 out of 5, just can't get into it but never was a big Solar fan

Re: Magnus #3
Anyone pick this issue up yet? Thoughts/reviews?
I think the whole line is improving as it goes - I wish they were coming out faster, but I enjoyed this one.
I think Magnus has been great so far, the problem is it's the best title and it's only at 3 issues in what seems like forever.
If Magnus ...

Congrats on #50
I've been listening to every podcast. You guys do a great job even with your tangents.
I have also always been a fan of the wildcats #2 cover. It's cheezy but still cool. That is such a love/hate period of comics for me.

Erica Pierce
Erica Pierce's character dealt with pretty mature themes for a comic book, especially in the early 90s.
Both her own character and the disturbed relationship she had with her perpetually teenage son.

Who has read Nausicaa by Miyazaki?
I recently read through the 7 book Nausicaa set in English from VIZ by Miyazaki...
WOW
Seriously, I'm not a big Manga reader, I always liked the film Nausicaa and thought it was easily Miyazaki's best... but the comics are just amazing.

Magnus settings/cities in North Am?
Does anyone remember what cities in North Am Magnus/Leeja lived in during Valiant and Goldkey runs?
I can't remember off the top of my head, but it seems issue one of this new Dark Horse run they are set in the Chicago area of 4000AD. Winnetka is a near north suburb (near where all the John Hughes ...

LOVED IT
I just read Magnus One... and I thought it was INCREDIBLE. At the end I felt like I could have kept reading another dozen issues. If this stays Shooter/Reinhold I'm on board for sure, hopefully they build a strong enough base that whoever takes over after them has a great foothold too.

Unity 2000
Can someone fill me in on Unity 2000?
I have read all of pre Unity, about 90% of post Unity up to Chaos Effect, practically nothing after and practically no Acclaim.
Today I picked up Unity 2000 1 and 2 in a 50 cent bin out of curiosity. I haven't read them yet but I did read the editor's page in ...

Great idea on the Valiant Christmas podcast.

Valiant Monthly Anthology, imho the best way to go
I was reading through the hardcovers (and then finishing out their runs up to Chaos Effect) on the three series that have been released so far.
