Re: Question about solar #20

Best to my knowledge, it was never followed up on in the pages of Solar. It was just intended as a prequel to the Malevs, to show they they came to be before wreaking havoc in Magnus, Robot Fighter.

Re: So Momo is dead

I'm still weirded out by Momo's name. Is anyone here a Questionable Content fan? For those not aware of it, it's an awesome comedy webcomic, and one of its characters is a pink-haired robot with a teenage/young adult female body, named Momo. I wonder if Clayton Crain is a fan, and this is an easter ...

Which characters cameo? Hmmm, lemme guess, General Krytos of the Dromak Empire? ;)

Re: Dead Drop #4

What's this 'letter of explanation' at the end? Is it part of the story, or some editorial thing?

Unity #13

This was a pretty decent issue, and Faith is definitely a fun new member of the team. Little seemed to really happen though, but that's true of all comics in this written-for-the-trades era, so it's not like I'm surprised.

I find it kinda odd that Faith is so shocked that Unity are violent, seeing ...

Re: Rai #5 Discussion

Is anyone here a Questionable Content fan? It's an awesome comedy webcomic that's been around since 2003, and one of its cast is a female robot with pink hair named Momo! I wonder if the naming of the character in Rai is a deliberate homage, easter egg, or just a complete coincidence.

Re: Valiant-Sized Quantum and Woody #1

Can't wait to read this later today!

Before the haters chime in with how much this book sucks and doesn't fit with what valiant fans want, Q&W is my most consistently favourite book VEI puts out, and save for Ming Doyle has never let me down!

I personally love that Valiant has a few goofy comedy ...

Valiant-Sized Quantum and Woody #1

This was a great bit of Valiant Christmas cheer! I found Valiant-Sized Quantum & Woody hysterically funny, well-written (especially in the second story's poem), and sweet too. The third story wasn't as good though. I liked it, and it was humorous, but it seemed a bit pointless, and didn't seem to ...

Q2: The Return of Quantum and Woody #2

This issue was definitely an improvement over the last! Due to Christopher Priest's non-linear style of writing, the first issue of Q2, while not bad, was just plain confusing. Thankfully things are starting to come together. This issue wasn't fantastic, but it was entertaining. It's just a shame ...

Re: Bloodshot #25

It's amusing how Bloodshot's origin is still so unexplained and confusing, given the original series explained it in the very first issue! If the new iteration is taking too long, then the original definitely jumped the gun waaay too early. Myself I prefer the mystery in the Acclaim Bloodshot series ...

Re: Doctor Mirage #3 Discussion

This seems like it's a quite decent series, but I wish they would've given it a different name, because this couldn't be a more disrespectful remake if it tried. It's so different from the original Dr. Mirage series that it goes beyond simply being a remake trying to be original. In a way, it's ...

Re: Doctor Mirage #3 Discussion

Comic book characters get re-imagined all the time ... quite dramatically in many cases

The original Dr. Mirage is not like James bond.

It didn't have any legacy of importance, relevance or significant popularity within the comic medium.

Jen Van Meter took this 'ok' IP and has so far created ...

Re: Harbinger Omegas #3

This issue *SQUEE* me off something fierce! I too felt that it wasn't a story in its own right. I thought this miniseries would be the grand finale to this storyline, or at the very least, a climactic story that edges things further to the endgame, but instead, this whole mini just feels like setup ...

Re: Q2: The Return of Quantum & Woody #1

The only problem I had was at the start it felt like the thief fighting Quantum2 was Eric what with the dialogue and everything.

That scene was a bit confusing for me too, as it sounded like this thief was a shapeshifter making himself look like Eric. I carefully looked between him and Eric at ...

Re: Q2: The Return of Quantum & Woody #1

I have read some of the original Quantum and Woody series (which is great, by the way), and this issue was partially nostalgic, and pretty decent, but I didn't really know what was going on either. As this is just the first part in a miniseries, I'm willing to give Q2 the benefit of the doubt that ...

Re: Shadowman: End Times #3 Discussion

I was hoping that Jack would die at the end of the issue, and Michael LeRoi (from Acclaim comics and [more importantly] the Shadow Man video game) would be introduced, heading down the road to becoming the new Shadow Man, and not only would he be in control of the power, but he'd be a lot more ...
