Re: Valiant Announces Valiant First Exclusives for C2E2
Okay. Anyone happen to know where I could get a pangalactic gargleblaster?
I had one at a room party at a World Con a number of years ago. (I think it was in Boston, but I guess it doesn't really matter where.) And it wasn't a real Pangalactic Gargle Blaster, as it didn't feel like my brain had ...

Re: Valiant Announces Valiant First Exclusives for C2E2
Anyone else bothered by the fact that Chicago Comic Exhibition & Expo (CCEE) is abbreviated to C2E2?
It doesn't save any space (both are 4 characters. I think they were trying to emulate E3, but that is one less character than abbreviating the Electronics Entertainment Expo as EEE.

Had I stayed on the book, I'd have gotten to the Axeman eventually.
Hey, Justin! I miss your work on Shadowman, I think it's the best work done on Shadowman. I loved it and I miss you on the title.

I was too incredibly hung over to remember too specific details, but the gist of it was that they tried to establish the mythology too fast at the expense of establishing Jack as a character.
I think that too, so he's not alone. You're too hung over to remember the details? :kidaround:

I would also like to chime in here and say I also commend you for speaking up early in this thread and owning up to what you thought were writing mistakes, Justin. That really, really does take a ton of balls & I have huge respect for you for doing that.

The brethren are just as interesting as any of the other villain sects scattered throughout the universe
Shadowman needs an industrial cabal like Dr. Strange needs to fight Archer-Daniels-Midland. They are totally incongruent in tone.

Re: Shadowman #10 discussion
It's explicitly IN the book, too, when the leaders are talking in issue four. They want more power and more life.
That they were being lied to by Darque needs to be inferred. If the plot of the book had played out over a longer period, this would have been explicit too - as soon as they figured ...

Hi Justin, not sure if you saw this question i posted ... but should we assume that Julien the next shadowman after Marius is the eventual son of Sandria and Marius? Or should we not assume that ? ... And that will be something that might be answered at some other point in time...

Just one question, if Mister Jordan is willing to answer... could you tell us a little bit more about Doctor Mirage, or is that not allowed? She seemed really cool and I remember you guys talking about how her powers were Eastern/Oriental magic as opposed to Hoodoo/African/American magic. Plus she ...

Re: Shadowman #10 discussion
Perhaps a clever parallel to what Darque was doing in the last arc ... twisting souls into mindless monsters under his command.
Yup.
Well, sort of - what Darque was doing to those souls when he was creating the Eaters was a twisted version of what Sandria did to create the Shadow Loa. That's ...

I wish we got a little more depth about how he came to be so evil

Just thought of this and never seen it explained anywhere (let alone in the comic) but what do these people (like Devereaux) get by helping Master Darque? As of right now it makes absolutely no sense.
