The recap pages seem okay, but is the X-O meeting Shadowman for real?? That just seems off to me both art and story-wise. Also the B/W stuff is taking up page space in this comic? Cute I guess, but WTF?

Yeah, I know that people have a soft spot for Owly, but I'm thinking that the main story is going to be awesome and the supplemental stuff is pretty much going to be a page-burning wank as is usually the case with these kinds of anniversary issues.

I think the XO/Shadowman meeting is purely a joke. I don't think its part of the continuity - Like the HARD Corps interviewing the different characters to lead the team comic strip that was in back of the books during the summer. Although, Ninjak having a beer with Vincent the goat is totally believable

The b/w kids cartoon is kinda cute also .. My preference would have been to see the whole 48 pages go to the Armor Hunters storyline but I understand why they included these light moments - its a celebration of the character and of a milestone so they are having a little fun...
