Re: Walking Dead Thread
Well, now we know who is playing The Governor. Hopefully this all pans out well in the end.

Re: Evil Comic Store owner!
Not to try and revitalize old threads, but has anyone seen the latest News on the Valiant website? This comic store is the same one that Atom! Freeman owns. This is the guy who also is now the new Sales Manager for Valiant Entertainment. This is also the same guy that refused to order me the ...

Re: Walking Dead Thread
Read some online spoilers about the second half of season two. IF they're true, by the end of this season the only comparison you can make between the show and the comics will be the zombies.
Seems to have been heading that way since the end of Season One. The biggest thing that grabbed me with ...

Re: Walking Dead Thread
I got so behind on this series. Walking Dead Weekly helped out big time, but still behind. Season 2 Part 2 of the show begins this Sunday though. Yes, I know there are MAJOR differences between it and the comic.

Re: Evil Comic Store owner!
Interesting.
I would think this dude has had a change of heart about Valiant.
I hope so. If not, we are in for a wild ride. It is especially bad since I am sure everyone here wants to see the new company succeed as it has been far too long since we have gotten new stuff from the characters. I ...

Re: EXCLUSIVE: VENDITTI & SIMONS RELAUNCH "X-O MANOWAR"
Best news in comics I have gotten in quite some time. I just got the e-mail about the release and can't wait! This is just the beginning, but hopefully the start of a long endeavor.

Re: My Doctor Knows Bob Hall
I've met many of the creators at Valiant, but have never met Bob. I've heard the stories here on the boards that he's the best.
Bob is awesome. Not saying I know him personally, but I have met him a couple times at SDCC. The guy really is nice. He's always happy to talk to you and take the time ...

2,500 now. Well, that would explain why I have never ever seen one in the wild. Seriously, I know it isn't the greatest book in the Valiant run qualitywise between the covers, but that is some rare stuff right there either way.

Re: 20 plus years for Valiant?
Agreed. I have very vivid memories of going in each week to see if the new Solar or Harbinger was on the shelf yet. They were on. My pull list but it was easy to see the shelves right as I turned the corner so I would always look. I did not know of Valiant until the ol black lady who owned the shop ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #4 cgc bought CHEAP
Another guess would be that an obscure group of fans are looking for said book and now other people from back when have crawled out of the woodwork to look for said books as well because said company is the new hot thing? Just saying. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. My local shop actually has ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #4 cgc bought CHEAP
I really wonder why sellers grade books like these to sell? It's almost a guaranteed loss and multiplied by dozens of books can really add up!
Just a few guesses...
The original submitter may have:
...believed the book would be CGC 9.8 (or better).
...believed that $25 was possible even for a CGC ...

Re: CEAR numbers?
I know it's a rare book. I have never actually laid eyes on one. Seen a Unity Zero Red though. Like that's very rare these days it seems. Does anyone know how many of these were even printed? I just don't ever recall anyone ever saying so. I know the print runs were also quite low towards the end ...

20 plus years for Valiant?
Logging on, I caught a glimpse of a graphic for Magnus #5 saying 1991 - 2011. Made me feel old as I remember buying and paying for that comic when it came out at Warp 9 comics. Twenty years. It just doesn't seem that long ago.

Re: Eternal Warrior #4 cgc bought CHEAP
It's all good man. I guess the problem I have with CGC graded books is the automatic price gouge at the top of the auctions. I see brand new comics sometimes that are being sold for $29.99 right out the door because it has been slabbed and a number popped onto the plastic case.

Re: Random Valiant Finds at Dollar Tree?! - NOW WITH PIC!!
I used to buy those kinds of packs at Toy's R Us when I was a kid. I might run down to my local Dollar Tree just to see that they don't have these too! My Dollar Tree never get's cool stuff except for one time they had Transformers G1 XBOX 360 Face Plates. That was kind of cool. Never seen comics in ...

Love that cover. I actually like it better than Jim Lee's work on the first issue. I'm happy just to have both version of #5. I would love to have that original though. Which reminds me Dan, I need to order more books from your site.

It just is.
An avid comic collector. Valiant was always my favorite as the hero's seemed to have more character in the end than the stuff Marvel and DC was printing at the time. It seemed that most companies didn't care what was between the covers as long as the artist was hot or the writer was. Valiant had a ...

Re: Eternal Warrior #4 cgc bought CHEAP
Why is everyone so hot and bothered with CGC graded books? You can't read them once they are slabbed. It's sad, really.
If you haven't realized that people who collect CGC graded books already have MANY other copies for reading, you need to get your head out of your... turtleneck.
