Just looking at comic numbers of that era neglects a certain boom-bust cycle that roamed through several genera within the collectibles field, and one could argue the second to have hit comics in less than a decade. I honestly believe the 80s comic bubble, the trading card bubble, the 90s comic ...

As I've done in the past, I'm going to give you my rundown of Valiant's presence at Phoenix Comic Fest.

They always set up right next to one of the main doors, so I make it a point of dropping by the booth first thing:

While it’s definately an odd way to cut it, they did this so they could do a second volume. Faith 9-12, Faith and the Future Force 1-4, plus extras gives you 10-ish issues and that way you can spread the material that should have been one book into two.

I'm a tad annoyed because I keep seeing multiple people in here, and on Facebook and Twitter, saying that Eric Heisserer is leaving Valiant.

That's the problem with asking for orders on a book 7 months before you're planning to ship it.

I pre-ordered mine so even though I couldn't pick it up until yesterday, I paid $20. And it's a great looking book, so I'm super happy all around.

The 2015 version was an FCBD giveaway and then later sold as a $1 Debut issue. The 2016 was sold as a regular monthly release.
