I like the Valiant logo on the packaging. The books inside are bagged and boarded. Certainly not rare books for sure, but I’ve never seen the packaging. Any others?

I haven't seen that one before. It says "Beckett & Associates" but that is unrelated to Beckett Media (Sportscard Price Guides, Grading, etc.), because Beckett isn't from Michigan. Probably a purposeful use of someone's own name, like McDowell's in "Coming To America".

Still, even if it's completely homemade in a garage in Michigan, it's pretty cool since we haven't seen it before... and it beats a lot of the "signed with COA" books that were being put out at about the same time by local comic shops.

No, I haven't seen this before. Agree that it is not related to Beckett the baseball price guide. However the office is available for rent for only $800 per month. At $9.95 per pack, you only have to sell 80 packs a month to break even.

Hilarious. Maybe it was some dealer who needed to push through excess stock. I think I paid $10 for this, which was exactly what it cost 25 years ago!

Yes, I would bet it's similar to the other companies that were repackaging comics in the 1980s and 1990s. Since they were asking for $9.95 instead of 89cents, they probably figured they could cover the cost of silver foil.

A quick Google search lists Beckett and Associates as a small retailer/importer located in MI that is no longer in business. So while it's unlikely the LCS put this together, it was probably a regional distributor that resold unused stock to department stores, discount chains and pharmacies. These types of businesses were extremely common in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
