Re: Thread for those that didn't like the webseries..Step in
The whole point was to bring in New folks to Valiant. I don't see this doing that. It's for juvenile thinkers. A couple passable action scenes doesn't make a good story. The worst part was the depiction of the characters. Ive been reading Valiant since 1991. I felt like they missed the mark ...

Re: Random thoughts on the DMG takeover for Valiant...
Interesting thoughts, Greg. As for your comparison of Valiant to where DC and Marvel were at around 27 years old, these are different times. Comic books, superhero or otherwise, we're not such a focus of pop culture. That said, I've always said it's too early for Valiant movies and TV mostly because ...

Re: Valiant Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons Resigns
I was literally sitting in the Valiant HWII panel today at C2E2 listening to Matt Kindt talk when one of the Valiant artists that I'm friends with texted me and told me about Warren. It was a bit surreal and the irony was palpable. During the Q&A at the end everyone was asking garbage like "When are ...

Shadowman #1 Variant Batman #608 2nd Print Homage
I'm not the seller so I thought it would be ok to post this here. Just wanted to make sure no one missed this. Pretty sure this is a Stadium Comics variant. It's for Shadowman#1. It pays homage to my all-time favorite Batman cover, #608 2nd print. This thing looks bad A! I love how the loas behind ...

I had a feeling dmc would push out the previous staff.

Class. Out of all the *SQUEE* I should be thinking about on a daily basis, I still have at least a short thought every day about how insane and unfortunate it it that Dinesh isn't with Valiant anymore. I can't wrap my head around it.

There are a LOT of books/variants that have been released since 2012. It is HIGHLY likely that I missed a few while attempting to update Greg's Top 100 list from 2016. Please comment below and let me know.

Re: Valiant variants AREN'T out there (?)
Here's kind of what I was talking about earlier. This guy has "more than 10 available" of the Shadowman#1 E 1:250 Glow in the dark cover. Are we supposed to believe they ordered at least 2500 copies of the issue? I call *SQUEE*. What am I missing?

Re: Valiant variants AREN'T out there (?)
Great thread. However, what if none of the stats we've received are in any way accurate? I'm a big variant collector, but sometimes I get the feeling like they're just being handled out to "favorite" retailers for no apparent reason. I've seen retailers that shouldn't have qualified or didn't order ...

Re: May 2018 Solicitations
Harbinger Renegade was the most hated book on this forum that I've seen. Now its not where you want it, when you want it and there's more complaining. I'm just happy we still have Valiant comics. I'm afraid that won't last long.

Re: To all those saying they are thinking of quitting Valian
Every organization has to evolve, although I would definitely guess that Dinesh took the payout because the house he built was at it's pinnacle before needing a reinvention beyond his first revitalization. I don't resent that.

Sure - the simplest would be grabbing some paper and writing him a thank you - compiling them into a bound book. From that basic idea, surely we could get more creative.
That's the way to go.
Anyone willing to receive the thank you notes?

Re: Fan Project for Dinesh?
I think I read where X-O #6 was Dinesh's first valiant comic. Maybe we could get Bob Layton to do a tribute cover with DMG knocking Dinesh out the building? (Or flip who is punching whom, but I think the hero getting punched is very appropriate in this case.)

Re: VALIANT SOLD
I'm really bothered by this new trend that the pinnacle of a comic's success is to be turned into a movie. I've been saying for years that I don't want movies until the comics stood on their own. Not to say Valiant didn't have some great stuff since 2012, they absolutely did. I feel like they were ...

Re: VALIANT SOLD
I haven't read a thing that leads me to believe this was anything more than a standard VC deal. You keep on a couple of senior staff to manage through transition (Gavin, Dinesh) and the real $ man (Peter) takes his cheque and happily leaves, ready to start the next venture - that's how VC works ...
