He's an Inhuman but like the others of his race, he really doesn't have any powers with the exception of being able to see the weak points in everything400yrs wrote:What is Karnak from? I nearly picked it up, but didn't know if it was another one-shot or ongoing. It looked interesting though.

Now only if they could have done this with their other comics. But yes, I will definitely be purchasing Wrath Of The Eternal Warrior the day it comes out with this in mind

Re: The Original Gold Key Magnus, Dr. Solar and Turok
All I've honestly read is Turok and yes, I can say without any doubt that the character is faithfully interpreted in his VH1 versionFormerReader wrote:Were these versions similar to the Valiant characters or were there a lot of differences?

I love the original Dell comics Turok a lot and it's a shame that it hasn't been reprinted like it's Gold Key counterpart

Re: Valiant: 25 Years Of Death And Beyond At NYCC ’15
Divinity has re-invented Valiant in more ways than one This is exactly why I would like to see Valiant putting out completely original material in the next five years that isn't constrained to follow guidelines set 20 something years ago. While Divinity is retracing some steps put forth by Solar, i...

Re: Marvel Cosmic
Interestingly enough, I never really liked Guardians of the Galaxy, although I think I need maybe one issue to complete my 90's run. The only Marvel Cosmic title that I've never particularly cared for was Nova, probably because I was expecting something from the book that just wasn't there, namely ...

Marvel Cosmic
So after reading some of Quasar, Mar-Vell, and Silver Surfer, I've kind of gotten bitten by the Marvel Cosmic bug and with interest in this particular area of the Marvel Universe growing thanks in part to the Guardians Of The Galaxy film, I figured it might be ripe for discussion What I like so much...

Re: Starbrand and Nightmask Return, Together.
Sounds like they plan to explore some of the New Universe-centric stuff with these characters. Maybe even bring in some other NU concepts/characters. I'd pay money for that, at least for a bit, even if the general format didn't excite me. If they get enough support, maybe some other NU material/cha...

Re: How does this happen?
How Saga is this popular when it doesn't even have that much in the way of an engaging plot, story, or characters makes little sense to me. Though it could be due to how the majority it's reader base isn't all that familiar with comics. I'm not knocking it, there's just far better examples out there...

Re: Bob Layton talks about Valiant
I don't think Bob Layton was enthused by Valiant when it came back. I think he was quite critical. I've said this before, Valiant is a great company with a great vision and great characters. The problem lies in whether or not the characters are being properly used by the writers they're assigned to...

Re: Valiant To Create A New Female Icon For 2016
I've said it before and I'll say it again, while I very much welcome "strong female character who don't need no man #2,000,437", you should not make a character a certain gender or race just for the sake of appeasing some socio-political movement

Re: Top 10 Graphic Novels or collected stories
V for Vendetta I honestly liked the movie better. :? Oops, was I supposed to say that? Every time I try to read it, I cannot help but wonder if I'm just not smart enough to read Alan Moore's writing. I'm typically not a fan of Moore's writing. I don't mind Moore's writing, it's just that V for Vend...

Foreign Comics (non-english/non-manga)
In April, I made a thread dedicated to my recent discovery and enjoyment of Franco-Belgian comics. I was unfortunately naive in thinking that there were no other comics outside this particular spectrum as I began reading Italian (Paperinik New Adventures) and Spanish (Hombre) books. It's still very ...
