Just trying to teach you that other "companies" have *SQUEE* up too. And they *SQUEE* up bad for ckb. You seem to glance over CGC's screw up but you aren't above making fiction stories about PGX. This confuses me. Then you avoid TheComicGuys post to you, and finally you pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about when YOU tried to call me about CGC not knowing how to encapsulate. I was justing showing you PROOF.Hmmmmmmmmmmm, am I held to a different standard of posting times than others Confused Am I not...allowed to post within the first 30 minutes of my first post? that seems to have bothered you?
So, let's see...you're teaching me something? Thumbs Up WHAT, i have yet to ascertain, but your rant makes little sense if you re-read it Neutral
There is INHERENT, mathematical RISK ...in the every day travels of your LIFE Rolling Eyes for you to believe you will EVER find ANYTHING that is 100% of anything...is ignorant of life. Sure they make mistakes, don't YOU Confused do you hold yourself to such a standard of 100% perfection,...every day of the year? Neutral
Laughing whatever dude, "the best I could do" means nothing to me here, this was about me pointing out facts, and you ignoring them...period! Cool
The BEST I could do?...if you say so Thumbs Up
What facts? You pointed out NO facts and when people called you on it you claim ignorance or just mock them altoghter. I don't claim to be the best poster on the internet but I re-read my post and it makes sense that YOUR WRONG when you attacked my stance about CGC and their encapsulation of books.this was about me pointing out facts, and you ignoring them...period!
Now you are just attacking my character and not the topic. Old trick.
But we can both agree on "whatever dude". Thanks for the laughs.. I'm out! Look me up when you got something factual to post.

I'll post something factual: The stuff that went on here with "ryostar" and PGX smelled pretty funky to me.
OK, OK, it's not factual. It still stunk. Still, you'd have to be crazy not to want to purchase a modern PGX book for around guide+grading cost.
I do have to be thankful my losses aren't harder to replace. Although that Magnus 64 makes me cringe - big time. The double signed Magnus 2 will probably end up with "magnusr" eventually (since he has a #1 just like it that I sold him), and I would have liked the second one to keep.
Anyway, I'm not bitter, just disappointed.

NO FACTS

Fact#
1) 10's of Millions of dollars worth of Comics are CGC encapsulated!
2) On average, less than 1% of CGC graded material has ever encountered "scs"

3) They have a background, and body of work in this industry that gives them clout, and legitimacy!
4) They have industry wide acceptence, and participation!
5) Their product adds value and service to the hobby.
6) They treat their customers fairly, and professionally!

so I've seen some pretty good things backing up CGC...
(the list Peter provided)
but the only anti-PGX stuff I've seen has been, mostly, that they don't have the things CGC does (Clout, history, etc...)
maybe I just missed it in re-reading, but what is it about PGX not in relation to CGC that potentially makes it a bad company? Have a lot of books been ruined, or are you just saying that the grading is not accurate?
thanks...

I'm going to have and side with Peter on this. Ryostar's posting on the topic out of nowhere is awefully suspicious.

In the end, we ALL are avid comic book collectors (that may disagree from time to time) but ultimately, we serve our own interests, as well as those of the hobby as well

I think part of running a business like this is responding to people's questions and concerns. I wish I had more time to post on forum boards and communicate more with the community.Peter Parker wrote:Hmmmmmmmmm exactly, thank you for pointing out ANOTHER strange and concerning aspect of PGX...the "suspect" people they seem to be in bed withryostar wrote:whatever dude...(ie. Even when it is clear to most people when someone is just out to start trouble and spread lies and rumors I still feel tempted to post so people know that these things have no truth to them. From the feedback we have gotten many people are very happy that we post on different boards and answer questions.

The graders here all have a history in the comic industry and I have not heard of a 'SINGLE' book being damaged in the PGX holder.Schmakt wrote:so I've seen some pretty good things backing up CGC...

Our grading is very accurate and consistent and that has been proven before. We will be happy to submit to any comparision between the two companies, be it the holder, the grading, the security of the holder, cost, turnaround times, customer service, etc.
We listen closely to our customer and make improvements everytime we find an area that can be improved.
