Re: The Walking Dead #100 *MAJOR SPOILERS*

The thing is, besides Rick, Glenn was probably the most popular character on the book and I'm certain he's going to get a lot of negative feedback about killing him off.

Michonne didn't like you saying that. lol

Glenn had been around since, what - issue 2 or 3? That's at least 97 issues of ...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

#4 issues can tend to pick up a lot of steam down the line, especially if a book gets, or becomes, very popular.

Same thing happened with Uncanny X-Force #4.

Something else that helped spike the price of Uncanny X-Force 4 was the fact that the marvel must have reprint of the early issues only ...

Batman 4 goes for 19.99.

Re: For anyone that has bought from Comic Collector Live...

I've bought from several different dealers over the past year and have no complaints. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going for uber high grade stuff, but if you're looking for reasonably priced back issues with fair shipping you can't go wrong with CCL.

I had one store - think it was pee wee's ...

My sentiment exactly. One day I can share Spider-man with my grandkids and tell them about the time I met his creator. Sounds cheesy, I know, but you can't put a price on a memory.

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

How was the actual experience of meeting Stan? I mean, I can buy a Stan Lee autograph for 30-40 bucks on eBay. If I was going to spend any real money for a chance to meet him I would probably treasure the memory of getting to talk to him for a few minutes more than any souvenir.

To the guys who ...

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

Some guy came on the CGC boards and spit some venom about the whole situation. Evidently he paid the $200+ price for the higher tier package offered by Heroescon and got scared away by the autograph and picture lines on Saturday. He also didn't get to meet Stan at the 'private party' Friday night ...

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

Don't remember a green goblin. There was an annoying sand guy with the stormtrooper though. Most of the people I saw in front of our fast pass group had true believer passes around their neck. Our tickets were taken as well.

There was a staging area upstairs in room 217 that they used for VIP's ...

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

The fast pass line was the way to go. I was told to show up at 3:30, we were downstairs in the turnstiles a little after 4 and I had my autograph well before Stan's panel started.

How did they do the fast pass with you? It was a waste of money to me. I showed up a little before 3:30 and there was ...

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

Hate that I missed everyone. I had so much going on with the wife, her birthday, her cosplay, picking up pressed books, cgc signature series stuff, etc. that I didn't really get to meet alot of new folks. I honestly was going to skip the Valiant panel b/c of the Stan Lee panel at the same time, but ...

Re: Comic Convention advice

If you want to prevent your comics from getting damaged both before and during the signing, my recommendation is to make window bags, triple board the books you want signed, and then place the window bagged comic in a archival mylar. I send my books off for SS prep, and this is how I pick them up ...

I'll be there too. Have you seen the t-shirt design for the 5k? Pretty cool!

Already donated $40 for the wife and I to get them. :thumb:

Dunno if its been said yet, but Cary Nord drew the limited print for the con. Dunno yet who the subject is, but it would be awesome if it was an X-O print!

And I just read where they've opened up a few extra 'true believer' packages for Stan Lee. It's $120 if you already have a 3-day pass and $150 ...

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012

Just found out Stan charges $50-60 for each autograph.

Guess that's one line I haven't got to bother standing in.

He is almost 90. I'm thinking this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I don't wanna regret missing him like I did Jack Kirby back in 93.

I've already purchased my signing ticket ...

I suspect that we'll see the "cataclysm" right after Blizzcon.
