Heroescon june 22-24 2012

Anyone attending this year. Anyone gone to past shows?
This is the 30th anniversary. Should be a good time.
Lots of the Valiant people going to be there.
Planning on adding a list of the talent attending later today.

Seriously, I've been to Heroescon every year for the past 18 years. Only an hour away from me. Going to be down on Friday and Saturday. Would do Sunday, but I find myself usually burning out the last day.

We need to have a little VF.com get together!

Been going since 05.
I wanted to list all valiant creators who'll be there .
Have to do it tomorrow.
I do want to see Clayton Crane.

Greenville's ok I guess, hard for me to be objective since I've lived here my whole life. I think it's kinda boring, and a little too conservatively minded for my tastes.

As for comic shops, we have 4 total...two here in town, "Borderlands Comics and Games" and "Richard's Comics and Collectables".

I prefer Borderlands mainly because my good friend Rob owns the shop.

Then there's two more within about 30 minutes driving distance..."Planet Comics" in Anderson (down I-85 towards Georgia) and "Tangled Web" in Spartanburg (up I-85 towards NC).

Can't really speak to what they're like since I shop Borderlands exclusively.

Borderlands is huge...5,000 square feet, with almost half the store dedicated to comics and the other half to RPG's and Warhammer style games.

I've read good things about Heroescon and Emerald City Con. I need to make a big con one day, but SDCC is probably a bit too media / movie driven for me.

I looked over the whole guest list for heroescon. Good lord, that's a huge list with a ton of great creators!

I think I might have to look into going next year.

Just found out Stan charges $50-60 for each autograph.
