PunX #3 for a dime. (Well, a quarter really, I told the dealer not to bother with the change.)

That's what I thought back when it was released. Now the Completist in me is kicking the Common Sence in me's butt for it. :)

Actually, I have a copy of all three. (I got MAJORLY, MAJORLY lucky. -Someone dumped a boatload of rare Valiant at my LCS, and I was at the right place at the right time.*) Unity 2000 #3 was the biggest score for me.--I didn't even know it existed before I found it.

I would say "Deadside #2" is ...

The hologram Malibu covers are really cool, but not worth three hills of beans most of the time.

My LCS has a bunch of these in thier "5 for a $1" bin (Mantra and Hardcase for sure, the others I didn't really look at that closely).
I passed on them. I didn't collect Ultraverse when it first came ...

Re: The Great Grimmax--Hurray!

Only 7 to go. Or possibly 9.--Can anyone tell me if "Glory"#0 and "Good Guys" #1 were ever released as "stand alone" books?

TMK stories like Dark Dominion #0, Glory #0, and Good Guys #1.5 were NOT printed as stand alone issues.

I actually still have both my Dark Dominion and Warriors of Plasm ...

Havok and Wolverine were released under the "Epic" imprint? Not disputing, just never noticed (And I collected the series).

Re: The Great Grimmax--Hurray!

So I was happily bargin hunting at my LCBS today and I found myself a copy of "The Great Grimmax" #0. Hurray! Ok, not a big deal really,-- But , It does put me one step closer to (re)completing my Defiant collection, And , I really never thought I'd ever find this one in the "open stacks"*.

Only 7 ...

interesting. I remember taking a boxcutter to my Previews in hopes of liberating Plasm #0 and gutting the thing like a fish.

LOL!!!! I did the same thing. I decided to "err on the side of caution" and ended up taking a good chunk of the Previews binding with it. And the first 3 or 4 pages still ...

Picking up after Unity is no different than picking up after XO 68, there would still be cliffhangers left to resolve.

Instead of resolving the cliffhanger of Archer & Armstrong coming back from the Lost Land, they would need to resolve the cliffhanger of their fight with the Sect from issue 0 ...

Yeah, here's the thing, My brother-in-law gave away about half of my comic collection when I moved out to west coast including about 2/3 of my Valiants (and ALL of my Defiants and Broadways..Grrr....). I've spent the last two years re-assembling my collection (I'm down ...

I hope the original material in the X-O hardcover "fixes" X-O 68. That would be perfect in my opinion.

As far as future HCs. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the pre-Unity stuff collected so that is available to new readers in an affordable format. The pre-Unity stuff [all titles] is a body of ...

Uhnnnn. The only reason I own a copy XO issue 0 at all is because the completist in me said I must have it.

The story was sub par, adding nothing to the mythos of XO that we hadn't already figured out for ourselves, and the inclusion of Elvis as the "map bring" was sillly beyond words.

The ...

Re: Downloaded the Harada Origin story from the net...

When the Valiant heroes assembled in the Lost Land, they left one universe, let's call it VH-1S, and when they left the Lost Land, they might have ended up in a similar but different universe, let's call it VH-1L. If we are to accept the ability to leave universes, certainly there is some capacity ...

I almost started my own thread based on this topic, but as it stands it makes more sence to just reply here.

IMHO, there were 4 Valiant titles that remained readable and enjoyable to the bitter end.

(In no particular order;) Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior*, Shadowman**, and Turok.

Re: X-O #53

So there are about.... 239 total words in X-O 53. 239, that is it.

And I'll guess that about 60% of them are 3 letters or less. Seriously, I think I read it in under a min.

One of the pages has X-O battling some spaceships and there are 4 pannels.

The dialogue is..... "They think they have me ...

Re: Harbinger powers

Are harbinger powers all mentally based (even the "physical ones") or are there actual physiological differences that can account for powers?

IE, even if someone is superstrong, is it some sort of mental telekiniesis that manifests as strength, or is it an actual change in musculature?

If it is ...

For what it's worth, I just recently manged to find Harbinger 7 in the back issue bins.
