Doctor Zero, Powerline & St. George were all set in the same universe of Shadowline. The story lines were linked & completed in a final series Critical Mass, (1989) 7 issues.

Another title to add to your list is Epic (1992) 4 issue anthology.

just the occasional title, like I mentioned in the welcome thread. Black Dragon was a great mini. I think (not 100% sure) that Stray Toasters was an Epic book, I have almost no idea what the story is in that book, but I sure do like looking at Bill Sienkiewicz' art!

No problem, I just did a search for Epic on Lone Star's web site and this is the list it pulled, I KNOW it's missing a ton, but the question is how do I find out what is missing without having to search through their entire Marvel listing? Maybe I'll google it... :thumb:

I have two issues of a "Captain Confederacy" series that Epic published. That series was originally published by Steel Dragon Press, then Epic picked it up. I have #2-4 from Steel Dragon (anybody have #1 for trade?), and #1 & #2 from Epic. I don't know exactly how many issues were printed from either publisher.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I have ComicBase which lists 137 titles as published by Epic. Will take note of titles currently on list so the others can be added.

According to Comicbase, Steel Dragon published 12 issues plus 2 special editions & Epic published 4 issues.

Thanks for the info, flinx! I had no idea there were so many issues from Steel Dragon. All I've ever been able to find (when I do find them) are duplicates of the issues I already have.

The writing and art wasn't the best ever by any means, but the universe did seem well thought out. But I'm a sucker for alternate universe stories.

For those of you unfamiliar, despite what you may think from the title, this wasn't a comic book published by the KKK. It's a modern-day ("modern" as it was published) super-hero tale set in an alternate universe where the South won the Civil War. The "Captain Confederacy" character starts out as a propaganda tool of the CSA, but later decides he doesn't want to be used for propaganda. Many issues of interest to alternate-history buffs are dealt with such as how the North and South cope with each other, civil rights in the CSA, how the Civil War affected the history in other countries, etc. And the letters pages were the best in any comic series to date with some very thought provoking discussions on what the world would be like had the CSA won the civil war.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Thanks Heath, I will have to keep an eye out for this title as I'm also a sucker for alternate universe/history stories.
I have managed to collect all the What If, Alterniverse & Millennial Visions from Marvel and almost all the Elseworlds from DC. Plus quite a few novels on the subject.

Thanks for continuing on this project, Flinx! After posting the initial list, I decided it was probably going to be tougher than I thought to do a list for these because it doesn't seem like any of the online sources I would use are 100% accurate.

Here's another I think we missed, the two issue Silver Surfer mini series by Stan Lee and Moebius. It was originally released by Epic as a two issue mini and was released in a one book format later on.

No problem Brother J, as you said it is tough task with the Silver Surfer mini series proving that. As soon as I read your post I also remembered it. Just checked ComicBase which lists it under Marvel as Silver Surfer (2nd series) but the photos of the covers show the Epic logo. Will update list to include it.
There were some on your list that I left off mine because ComicBase didn't have them listed like the Groo Expose TPB and the various autographed comics.
I'm sure someone else will find more that we have missed.

If anyone is looking for these, send me a PM. I know I have a set of Moonshadow, possibly an extra set of Coyote and various others in there.

Coyote has a nice Valiant tie in.

I think there is an Epic: Heavy Hitters Annual #1 that was a pseudo-
crossover between Lawdog, Spyke, Feud, Midnight Men and the first wave of the Heavy Hitters.

Havok and Wolverine were released under the "Epic" imprint? Not disputing, just never noticed (And I collected the series).

--Stray Toasters was great. And, after the third or forth read through, not as confusing as first appears.
