I had Civil War #2 (sketch cover/ 1 in 75 variant) in my hand the day it came out; it was about $30 and i put it back. It wasnt the price, it was relativley cheap; it was just that i didnt have the variant to #1. now its going for around 90 bucks.

I thought it was just me that thought the non-BWS UNITY covers were terrible.

For me, its like the VALIANT universe ended after UNITY; so I would change the fact there weren't more Pre unity issues.

It had to be when Jim Shooter was forced out. This guy was all about producing quality stories, and when he was gone, things just started to unravel. Slowly but surley.

It Ended for me at SECRET WEAPONS #1

Relativley speaking, all I can think about is going to my comic shop wednesday and finding more back issues.

I have this sinking feeling Im gonna be really obsessed with trying to find more valiant back issues, golds, limited print runs and final issues

are the cases air tight or close to it?

XO MANOWAR #1. I was surprised I even bought it, I was soo busy buying works of art like 'Sleepwalker' and 'Punisher 2099' at the time. I was surpised by the story, It had a nice amount of action and was a fun read, but it was still a little bit somber and grounded for such an out-of- this-world ...

I did find a gold unity #0 for about a buck a few months ago. but now its lost somewhere in my bedroom.

&No, it was the retailer incentive, but I was still floored to see a Magnus #0 in any back issue bin for 2 bucks. that was the one issue I never thought I would have.

Remember reading Wizard magazine back in the day and seeing every pre unity Valiant issue go for about $50-100 and thinking you would never be able to buy an issue for less than a leg? well..
