It's stupid to pay for the grade 9.9 alone instead of the actual comic, but I guess for the time being there is a small, but diminishing market for that crap.shaxper wrote:What idiot pays $30+ for a useless, worthless, uninteresting comic book just because of its condition? I guess this "close to perfect" thingie has its adepts. I'm all for collectibility but I don't think I'd really be able to tell a 9.2 from a 9.9 or something. I consider myself first a comic book reader and then a comic book collector, so I still don't feel the call of the CGC unless it's a terribly good deal. I agree though that it's a good, impartial way to have a comic graded but maybe there's too much buzz with this...
