CGC 9.9 on ebay

Post by GGSAE »

For some of you CGC maniacs, i thought i'd show you this if you haven't seen it already.

Yeah it's a common, but 9.9 is still a 9.9

Of all the books to send in for grading?

Good grade on a book that nobody could care less about.

Somebody will probably pick it up since it's a 9.9. It won't be me though. On the other hand, the print run on this book wasn't astronomically high like the post unity issues.

If it was 41...not a moments hesitation...but for 31...forget it...

What idiot pays $30+ for a useless, worthless, uninteresting comic book just because of its condition? People have completely lost sight of the purpose of collecting comic books.

It's stupid to pay for the grade 9.9 alone instead of the actual comic, but I guess for the time being there is a small, but diminishing market for that crap.

I guess this "close to perfect" thingie has its adepts. I'm all for collectibility but I don't think I'd really be able to tell a 9.2 from a 9.9 or something. I consider myself first a comic book reader and then a comic book collector, so I still don't feel the call of the CGC unless it's a terribly good deal. I agree though that it's a good, impartial way to have a comic graded but maybe there's too much buzz with this...
