I bet that VH1 A&A #0 GOLD CGC 9.8 Signature Series would pull a decent price.

I wonder if Greg can add that sale to the CGC sales records page. It currently shows the last sale in 2006 for $500.magnusr wrote:Well written article, but must mention that the 9.9 Magnus 0 sold for more than most of these...DirtbagSailor wrote:Open for debate and for discussion; but here's my article.![]()

Yes... we can verify that sale did occur, so I have added it by hand.geocarr wrote:I wonder if Greg can add that sale to the CGC sales records page. I won't be doing that for every sale on the board, but "grail" issues do deserve to be recorded when they sell here.

Do you own it now? I will enter the sale in the records, if you want to say when and cost.Ricomortis wrote:magnusr wrote:Well written article, but must mention that the 9.9 Magnus 0 sold for more than most of these...DirtbagSailor wrote:Open for debate and for discussion; but here's my article.![]()

Sorry Magnus, while reviewing sales data I didn't see this sale, so the $500 is what I went from. Anyone have a pic of the slab?magnusr wrote:Well written article, but must mention that the 9.9 Magnus 0 sold for more than most of these...DirtbagSailor wrote:Open for debate and for discussion; but here's my article.![]()

I wonder what my 9.9 Archer 1 1:20 Variant would be worth now. I think it's the only 9.9 Archer issue, and the highest graded (with a variant, no less). Not a key issue like Rai 0, but a nice #1 issue, nonetheless.

Re: Top-10 Most Valuable Valiant Comics
Yeah, the history on the Magnus 9.9 book is that I bought it with a BIN of $500 off E-bay. I sold it to *SQUEE* for $2,000. Apparently he sold it later to Rico for $1,500. The image of it is in my gallery.DirtbagSailor wrote:Sorry Magnus, while reviewing sales data I didn't see this sale, so the $500 is what I went from. Re: Top-10 Most Valuable Valiant Comics
Also, I think there's an argument to be made for this book:

Past sales don't tell the whole story. Lack of sales data history does not speak to what something *might* sell for it did come available on the open market. I think there are a lot of examples of one-of-a-kind books that are difficult to value. Look at those gold proof Solar books from Jay Jay.

Hey, lol, I'm trying to keep that one on the down-low before someone bids me into the $1,000's for no good reason! lol!Zero wrote:Look at those gold proof Solar books from Jay Jay.
I agree, and might like to discuss with you your thoughts on potential super-books.
