Thanks for the website info

What a cool site! I didn't know there was so much stuff out there.

Hubby is not yet interested in selling the Dark Con Set, but it's nice to know the effort to keep it in good shape wasn't wasted.

He did have another question for me, and I did a quick check of Dan's site for the bottles we got from Valiant: I think they're called "Armstrong Ale" and "Darque Brew". I may be wrong on the names. Those are unopened and safe in padded little boxes in larger box. I always wondered what was inside them--water or what. Guess I won't ever find out.

Now you guys have me curious as to what else I have packed away. I know I have a few business cards/trading cards from the SDCC from the early 90s--the ones made ot look like trading cards? Now I'm gonna find the frickin' boxes that have this stuff. Geez, only 50 bozes to look through!

Good luck - that sounds like it might just be a FUN search!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

The beers are indeed beer and go for around $30 if they are sealed and still have the cards.

The trading card/biz cards sound very interesting. If they are just biz cards you wont get too much for them. If they are Thank You cards then it depends on whether they are Valiant Era 2 (approx $10 each) or Deathmate (I don't even want to guess how high these would go they are that rare.)

NO cards, but I found some stuff

Post by propita »

Neither of the bottles have cards, they were just sent I think UPS and only bubble wrap inside. I'll check under it later. I saw a card on Dan's site--guess we didn't rate enough for the card, but I'm happy enough with the bottles.

I found some stuff! Only took about 1/2 hour to find one of the boxes, and this had some misc. stuff. Gold Mine!

A bunch of posters including 5 "Acclaim Comics Valiant Heroes": Magnus (really cool poster), Quantum and Woody, Eternal Warriors, Bloodshot, and Trinity Angels. About a half dozen other posters, a few I didn't see on Dan's site.

"Retailer Review Copy" (well, copies) of Shadowman #5, Bloodshot, Trinity Angels.
"Turok #0 Preview" with a green cover, whose pages are sticking, so I didn't open it except to find that out

Birthquake window sticker(?) 3/95

Valiant Voice SDCC 93 special

A 6-card uncut sheet of chromium "Players of Deathmate" cards. The edge says "THe Upper Deck Compnay/Pyramid commemorates the 1993 Diamond Spring FLing.

Then alot of little things:

1993 Valiant Postcard set of 4 (#1: Harbinger 25; #2: Ninjak 1; #3: Shadowman 0; #4: Valiant's Thrid Year Anniversary)

4 3.5"x5" chromium cards (promo, I guess): OS1, OS2, OS8, SLE1

Valiant Sneak-Peek cards: 1,2,3,4,4,6 (no 5)

Valiant chromium edition promo 'Bloodshot Rampage' cards

Chaos Effect-Omega checklist cards (2 different fronts, same back)

Valiant Era II promo cards

Some Hero game card with a Harbinger 0 cover on front and some gold scratch off (?)--if it is a scratch off, it's not scratched off

Valiant Files promo cards, 2 from Advance Comics, one from Wizard

For not really trying, I got some cool stuff. At least it's in good shape.
