Re: Valiant Brings Back [SPOILER] In 2014
so, who'll write?
my bet's on either ales kot, simon spurrier or joshua williamson. another bold choice would be adam egypt mortimer (gis sci-fi epic ballistic is killing it). or maybe it'll be matt kindt's 10th monthly book, who knows..

Why does anyone think that it's an ad for a new series? Maybe it's for his return in Eternal Warrior, same way as VEI has done with Ninjak, Eternal Warrior and others.krylox wrote:so, who'll write?

I think we all just want it to be a new book. I would love it if they did an EW/Rai flip book just like in VH1 with Magnus/Rai.paradise wrote:Why does anyone think that it's an ad for a new series? I'm not a big fan of flip books, personally. Hopefully they don't revisit THAT aspect!

Not sure too many are; can't think of many flip-books in recent years, but that of course could be due to risk averse publishers. The Beyonder wrote:I'm not a big fan of flip books, personally. Hopefully they don't revisit THAT aspect!

Trillium #1. There was also an Image book recently, but I forget the nameleonmallett wrote:Not sure too many are; can't think of many flip-books in recent years, but that of course could be due to risk averse publishers. The Beyonder wrote:I'm not a big fan of flip books, personally. There are a few, but amid the several thousand new comic books per annum, very, very few, and less than 1% I would say, maybe as low as 0.1%.

Re: Valiant Brings Back [SPOILER] In 2014
I'll admit, my beef towards them stems from my anal attitude towards binding my comics into hardcover. Unless each book ends in the exact middle, my binds end up having the upside-down page of the other side's book on the final page of the story. Blech!

For binding it would be a pain, but I actually liked the Valiant flipbooks.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't get a chance to get to my LCS so I downloaded it and read it on my iPad today. Of course that cover is not there so I couldn't see that.

So are you saying this new version of Rai is an umpire in a future Japanese baseball league?

I feel it's going to be more of their first real hero. Everyone else all have ulterior motives while RAI was/is always meant to be a hero.Brother Darque wrote:You Are Safe.
