I think some kind of crossover like that could help Valiant as long as the focus remains on putting out a quality book instead of just a marketing gimmick. I'd be ok with any as long as that's the case.
What he said.

I think this is a novel idea! :thumb: .. but I dont think these covers look all that great, really.

I grade them accordingly:

Shadowman: 8/10.
Harbinger: 9/10.
Eternal Warrior: 7/10.
Bloodshot: 6/10.

Maybe a background would have made me feel better about these covers, not sure.

What will happen if these are really rare but no one thinks they are drawn all that nicely? :? The super rare ugly variants?? LOL

I like the Chen and Hall covers, the Moretti EW is okay but I don't understand the Bloodshot cover. The face is odd and the pose... it looks like he's flying.

I could see Sandria keeping the ponies, and Darque blowing them up and trying to put them back together.

My guess would be that the character art is set against black backgrounds so that 100% of the viewer's attention is on the artist's drawing itself. Seeing as these covers are all about the original artist's/writer's work, it makes sense that there's nothing extraneous on the cover to detract from that.

Although the way he's holding his staff does look a bit odd, I do really like Bob Hall's Shadowman cover :D

Yeah, that aspect is fine but I'm not sure calling it a "Signature Series" really makes sense when there's something with a similar name and actual signatures. :?
