Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012
I'll be there Sunday, (24th) this will be my 3rd year attending, last year was great, got Neal Adams to sign my GL #87 (1st John Stewart). I'm really looking forward to seeing what type of presence, Valiant will have at Heroes, I'm also looking forward to picking up some Valiant back issues, Solar's Hc Alpha and Omega
as well as a few other things, I'm still putting my list together, which usually, isn't complete until the night before I go

He is almost 90. I'm thinking this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I don't wanna regret missing him like I did Jack Kirby back in 93.Tim wrote:Just found out Stan charges $50-60 for each autograph.
Guess that's one line I haven't got to bother standing in.
I've already purchased my signing ticket and a $20 VIP fast pass. I think $75 is fair to meet a legend and get his autograph.

There it is! Thanks, I only saw the extremely overpriced Excelsior etc packages that are sold out. I might jump in on this.aggr1103 wrote:Announcement in a recent Heroescon email. Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012
The excelsior packages weren't that overpriced once you break it down. $150 for the basic package included the $30 fee to get into Heroescon, a signature that cost $55, and a photo with Stan that I hear costs somewhere in the 40-50 dollar range. Not to mention avoiding god awful long lines. I would've jumped on the excelsior package, but I don't think at this time I want to get a pic with Stan, and I don't think I'm that interested in his panel, so the preferred seating isn't enticing. I do want to avoid really long lines as much as possible though, so the $20 fast pass to be able to get my autograph right after the excelsior package folks and before the throngs of other folks is worth it. A friend of mine was at Calgary and spent the better part of a day and a half just in line for Stan's autograph and a pic with him. Missed most of the con because of it.etos45 wrote:There it is! Now the other package that's around $225 or something is a little steep for me, although you get to hob-knob at a private party with Stan and probably some other creators.
3 or 4 years ago I would've never thrown down any money to see any creator, but we're not going to have Stan around much longer and in 20 years I don't want to look back and say "Well, I was at Heroescon 2012 when he was there, but I passed on his signature because of (insert excuse here)."

I could be mistaken but I'm relatively sure that both the VIP packages do not include admission to the con...that's extra.

The one I ordered did not.

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012
Dunno if its been said yet, but Cary Nord drew the limited print for the con. Dunno yet who the subject is, but it would be awesome if it was an X-O print!
And I just read where they've opened up a few extra 'true believer' packages for Stan Lee. It's $120 if you already have a 3-day pass and $150 if you don't have a 3-day pass already.
From what I just got told on the phone no photos are allowed in the autograph line for Stan. Evidently there will be another scheduled period for photos. Also, Stan will only be there on Saturday.
I just found out about the 5k Saturday morning. Looks like me and the wife will be getting some exercise in

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012
Also, does anyone know if Cary does commissions? I emailed the address on his site, but he hasn't responded so it maybe be outdated. I'd love to get a nice Daredevil from him. I've been emailing creators for a month now and getting commissions done before the con just in case they get booked up before I get there.

Re: Heroescon june 22-24 2012
Well, that sucks about the True Believer passes. I've already purchase the others. Guess I'll just have to settle for meeting him with no photo. I really don't like how some celebrities make photos a separate part of the price. I mean, if I'm there anyways and you don't have to move, what's the difference? But, oh well. Maybe I can buy a photo ticket when I get there or something.aggr1103 wrote:And I just read where they've opened up a few extra 'true believer' packages for Stan Lee. If they do, I'll probably get it. I guess it really depends on how much and if I have to stand in another line.

Just saw where they updated the floor plan for this year. Spots for artists in artists alley have been assigned.
