Wow!
Yeah that's a wierd one to just go $31.00.. It's not even graded right the seller claims it's 9.8?

Btw, I was very tempted to buy one of those two X-O 9s at 29.99. I really should have. That's a tough book. :|

Not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me or what, but here's mycomicshop's EW in CGC 9.9 still for sale. :?

Yes, I was tempted by the Rai TPB 9.9 as well, but it would make the rest of my 9.8 collection jealous. :)

Seriously, I just don't think it's worth the extra money. In the $60 range I would think differently.

I cracked into my emergency fund I'm trying to build to win this Harbinger 1 in CGC 9.6. I think Harbinger is going to do the same thing X-O's been doing pricewise as we start getting info on Harbinger 2012.
Who needs an emergency fund anyway? :D

Yeah, I'm happy to say I did. I bought the same book from ckb earlier, so I have two of these now.

Congrats on the pick-up! A ckb 9.6 is probably better than some 9.8's out there!

Rai 0 CGC 9.8 goes for 88.99 incl shipping. My 45.00 bid didn't win the day.

I guess owning 2 Harbinger 1s in CGC 9.6 is like owning 40% of one in 9.8. :D

If they were graded before 2009, then owning 2 Harbinger 1s in CGC 9.6 is like owning 2 Harbinger 1s in CGC 9.8. :P

Rai 0 in CGC 9.4 pops at 27.00 incl shipping. There was the option to place an opening bid of 25.00 incl shipping fees, and I was tempted to do that. Too late now.

Another example of a CGC 9.4 or lower Valiant slab selling, a Solar 1 in CGC 9.2 moves 24.80 at incl shipping.

Bloodshot 1 in CGC 9.8 goes for 58.95 incl shipping. That was the only copy available on eBay.

Another 9.4 or lower sells, as a Magnus 1 in CGC 9.4 gets snapped up at 42.40 incl shipping. Is this a trend? I'm not sure, but it seems some collectors with limited funds are seeking Valiant slabs in less than 9.6.

Four copies of Shadowman 8 in CGC 9.8 sold on eBay toward the end of 2011, and no copies have been available there since in that grade.

Huh...aren't there like a million Bloodshot 1's in circulation? I can kind of understand someone wanting one in CGC 9.8, but not sure why its worth more than ~30 bucks or so (cost of slabbing).

With most dealers figuring it's not worth slabbing this book, perhaps they haven't been slabbing them. Then someone who wants one comes along and there's only one on eBay, and they hit the BIN. I guess. :?
