It's possible a printer was doing something strange... who knows? If only one or a few of these exist, and it's legit, it wouldn't be a surprise no one here's heard of it. I'm not saying it's legit, I'm just saying it might be. I hope we find out who won it.

Since he was misleading in the listing, you would think that the buyer (Zero?) would be able to get a refund from eBay if not from the seller.

If not, I guess I'm gonna get red and gold markers and make me a fortune!

I asked Josh at Missouri Comics for a close up pic, which he gladly sent, and it is definitely gold marker colored over a regular EW 7 logo. I'll attach the pic when I get to work. I've bought many Valiants from him and never known him to be dishonest, but he may have turned a bit of a blind eye to this one. I thought, as some of you did, that it might be a board project or maybe a rare prototype gold that never actually got released, but I'd have to say no to the last. I mean, someone at Valiant MIGHT have been bored and colored in the box as a Let's See How This Looks excecise, but it's a pretty sloppy job for any professional.

Yeah Zero, what the hell was that guy thinking Hahaha, I was the one who bought the auction, I figured it was something along the lines of a deathmate white (which I've owned in the past), just an error comic. The seller is aware of this thread and he actually brought it to my attention, so the transaction is null and void. He was very honest and forthcoming about it...this coloring incident reminds me of a poker game a number of years back...about 8 of us from school got together for a game and one guy absolutely did not want to play, we twisted his arm, and were just playing for fun using pennies. As a first-timer we went through a practice round of explaining all the rules at each move, turn, river, etc. with betting involved. At the end we all showed our hands and he had a joker as one of his hole cards, and he had no idea what his hand was! LOL, we were dying of laughter.
