I'm not even familiar with Deathmate White. What's the story on that, and how many are known to exist?magnusr wrote:Thanks guys, that's what I meant.BruceReville wrote:Deathmate WhiteElveen wrote:StarBrand wrote:What unofficial legit variants come to mind? ETERNAL WARRIOR # 7 GOLD LABEL VALIANT??????
That was pretty much my take as well.betterthanezra wrote:Ok the seller might be a "Good" seller but think about it.
Don't you think...just maybe after all these years. WE might have heard about this Variant????
Considering the quality of members we have talked to over the years who worked in every aspect of Valiant SOMEONE might have expressed an inkling of this Variant???
This is FISHY beyond FISHY...

I thought for a couple seconds that it might've been some kind of Valiant Fan project I must've just missed out on, but in all the years I've been here (workin' on seven now

Like has been said: sure seems like at least one of us would've heard something about this before now

It's possible a printer was doing something strange... who knows? If only one or a few of these exist, and it's legit, it wouldn't be a surprise no one here's heard of it. I'm not saying it's legit, I'm just saying it might be. I hope we find out who won it.BloodShot wrote:That was pretty much my take as well.betterthanezra wrote:Ok the seller might be a "Good" seller but think about it.

I agree. You can see the white through the gold and it just looks awful all around.400yrs wrote: It looks amateurish coloring from that one scan.

The seller is just plain dishonest.I hope the seller gets baned from ebay and the buyer can get his money back.Brother J wrote:whoever paid $43 for that is going to be just a little *SQUEE* off when they get it.Drift wrote:I blew the pic up and you could see it is gold pen, badly applied and that is all.

That looks fake to me. There is a lot of white in the logo that makes me not believe its genuine

Since he was misleading in the listing, you would think that the buyer (Zero?) would be able to get a refund from eBay if not from the seller.iggy101us wrote:Going to be some major buyer's remorse if it's a fake.Daniel Jackson wrote:43 dollars for a 25 cent book....ouch.
If not, I guess I'm gonna get red and gold markers and make me a fortune!

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR # 7 GOLD LABEL VALIANT??????
I think it's BS. It'll be interesting to see a better scan/who bought it.
Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR # 7 GOLD LABEL VALIANT??????
I asked Josh at Missouri Comics for a close up pic, which he gladly sent, and it is definitely gold marker colored over a regular EW 7 logo. I'll attach the pic when I get to work. I've bought many Valiants from him and never known him to be dishonest, but he may have turned a bit of a blind eye to this one. I thought, as some of you did, that it might be a board project or maybe a rare prototype gold that never actually got released, but I'd have to say no to the last. I mean, someone at Valiant MIGHT have been bored and colored in the box as a Let's See How This Looks excecise, but it's a pretty sloppy job for any professional.
