I always kick myself for not posting up here more often what i grab and pics if possible.
The monster Marvel collection i got last year also had a few boxes of DC and Indy books, with a few DU lots in there.
I snagged a complete Crossgen set including trades etc.
Just need a few licensed books to complete 100%
The other books are First Eclipse and i think an almost set of Pacific too.
I just crossed off the gaps i had on Sable and Mike Grells Sable ( reprint book), having completed Jon Sable Freelance last year.
I loved First comics and the main series they produced from Sable, Badger, Nexus, Grim Jack etc are the books that made my head turn in the early part of the 80's when my world was a spin mainly from Super hereos.
So completing these sets is really a massive thing for me.

On a recent trip up farther north of England to see family i revisited two shops i found last year.
The1st was in a mini shopping arcade and tiny as you like.
Hardly and merchandise and a few rows of back issues.
Over priced DF signed books on wall etc.
What back issues they do have are well priced, nether cheap or over the top, but when you have as many items in stock as me it's nice to ignore them and go for the cheap bins to please myself.
So this time i found a bunch of Innovation Lost in Space and DC impact, shame that i just found the same Lost in space in the same box i got the Sable issues from, but hey Lost in Space is cool, I might even bag n board them for our back issue selection.
The second store is hilarious.
It's basically the front room of an old town house round the back of the main shopping high street.
There about five in a row that have all done the same, but it really felt weird the first time i was told where it was, just a strange old place to have a shop, well i say shop, it really is just a tiny room with a rack of imports issues ( new weekly comics to you) some old action figures and merchandise that is sun bleached mostly, plus about 8 long boxes of 50p books.
Last year i spent £30 on 50p books and did similar this time between the two stores.
This time i found my first copy of the Nexus Magnus preview issue in the UK, which tells you all you need to know about how HTF this is over here.
Some Teshkeel issues that preceded the ongoing series and were free previews, Origins and First Light, what winners for 50p, as never seen a single issue of any Teshkeel in the Uk or on ebay uk.
There were a small bunch of weird books across the board from lots of DU,s, but i filed them all away, so cant recall most of them already.

I have landed a couple of lots of international edition Teshkeel books in the last few weeks. Magazine sized jewels.

I seem to find an issue or so from my Virgin list at each show, but when i look at my list it seems to not go down, very frustrating.Knightt wrote:VERY sweet pulls !!!Draco wrote:the gem was the first two Pitt tpb's by Full Bleed for £2.00 each

I was really naughty when pricing the Full Bleed issues in the late teens for the show we did Saturday.Knightt wrote:Same here... heck, I do not even have the single issues completed yet, now to learn about TBS ?Draco wrote:As for the Full Bleed tpbs, i never knew they existed.
Odd feeling of excitement and anguish at the same time just came over me...
I have some of the NM copies at £25.00 just to tease

Check how many issues in the ones you have, there are about 70 issues of the First run then a few Dark Horse and some Image issues too.Knightt wrote:Any idea how many total Badger trades there are ?Chiclo wrote:I have and have read those Badger trades.
What really surprised me is how much the wife enjoyed them.

Somewhere I got the idea that these three were the only three released by IDW. I could be wrong here and I cannot cite where I was left with this impression but I don't think they released any more.Knightt wrote:Any idea how many total Badger trades there are ?Chiclo wrote:I have and have read those Badger trades.

They did release trades for several other First properties. I have fished several out of the $5 bin at the comic shop in Lubbock. Grimjack and John Sable spring to mind.

Drift and myself pride ourselves on bargain bin hunting at shows and one of us always comes up trumps.
