I'm currently playing Star Wars Academy on the Iphone.

reminds of SW Battlefront.

I've had a 360 a couple years and just got the family a Wii for Christmas. I find myself missing the traditional gamepad! (Yes, I know you can use a GameCube controller, but I don't have one.) I hate having to point the Wiimote at the screen to make selections. A D-pad and a button is so much quicker. I use that option on the Wiimote when possible, but it's not always possible.
One of my brothers is the same way. He just can't get into the different approach you have to use on the Wiimote. He uses the classic controller whenever possible.

I've always been a Nintendo fanboy but the wii just isn't for me. It's a family console with no 3rd party support. There are some good fun games, I'm going to miss Animal Crossing, but mostly I don't use it. I knew it was time to give it away as I moved in November and it didn't even get unboxed in my new place.

Picked up Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe on the cheap. It did not come with a manual but I found a site that offers many game instruction manuals for free download as a PDF file which you could then print if you wanted. Here is the site: http://www.meekeo.com/

The game is a very solid rental but picking it up on the cheap does not limit me to taking it back and racking up late fees, which I am infamous for in my house. The game is decent enough to spend a few hours on and going through the story which is told from either the DC view or the Mortal Kombat view. This version of MK is dumbed down to allow for a T for Teen rating, which is disappointing. But I can understand it as we are dealing with DC characters. I will use this as a practice for the upcoming MK game due out in April, 2011. A game that is going over the top with gore to make up for this DC tamed down version.

I am not a DC fan but the story MIXED with the MK universe makes for a very good time.

(BTW, I found my Battlefield Bad Company 2 Xbox 360 game disc so I will be back on that here soon... probably after seeing Tron tonight with the little woman - and get this, MY WIFE suggested that we go see it AND I was pretty much molested by her last night... I am looking all over the house for 'the pod') (I hope somebody gets that reference

Played through the single-player story in Little Big Planet 2 (better than the first game) and I've been futzing around with the community stuff. Unbelievable how much cool stuff is in this game, although it's not everybody's cup of tea.

Also started up Mass Effect 2 on PS3. They use a 15-minute interactive comic to get you through all the choices on ME1. I've decided to just walk around being a *SQUEE* to everyone on this playthrough.

Can't wait for Dead Space 2 .... yeeha!

I could never get into LBP even though I thought it was very 'awwww looking' but I found it to basically be a cutesy platformer. Graphics are awesome though.

Mass Effect 2 ? Can't say enough good things about it. I imagine Mass Effect 3 is going to make people's head explode. I have purchased EVERYTHING possible for the ME2 game and fully intend on finishing every bit of it. It is one game that I have not felt the need to look at a game guide for if I were to get stuck so as not to spoil anything. I think that ME2 is THE epic game of my life to date.

Little Big Planet 2
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Super Mario Bros Wii
Gran Turismo 5

I still wish there was a good D&D style multipler player RPG for the PS3 (along the lines of gauntlet, baldurs gate, champions of noraath). My wife and I have tried Sacred Angel, but couldn't get into it.

While not heavy on the RPG side of the house, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a great get away game that offers a single player campaign AND a co-op campaign that you wife could play along with you. The games puzzles are changed depending on the single of co-op selection and both play out very well.

As I was just playing this game last night, I thought that this game was VERY much like Diablo but without the hoards of monsters/demons to kill and the massive loot gathering that made the previous games so popular. The graphics and game play are stellar considering that this is an Xbox 360 Live Arcade Game. Lara Croft and the GoL is also available for purchase on the PSN at a VERY affordable price.

You can view the video below to see if this might quench your RPG thirst. Again, while this is not a heavy RPG (i.e. no ability to level up or adjust any character traits, and a simple inventory system BUT with over 30 obtainable combat weapons), it feels like playing an RPG and having the co-op ability, this is something that could provide a very cool date night of playing around on your PS3.

The game does not stop with Lara Croft. There is a free download in which you can play the characters of Kane and Lynch from the popular games of the same name. This is cool but even better is an affordable download that changes certain aspects of the story that allow you to play the game as Raziel and Kain vampires from the Legacy of Kain franchise. The cut scenes are very different from Lara Croft and offer a new set of characters in which to play the game. I think that there are other down-loadable character packs to choose from other than the two mentioned. There are also challenge maps available for purchase.

For a down-loadable arcade game, this is one of the stellar games in my Game Library. A great story, fantastic graphics and awesome DLC make this a game that one or two persons can enjoy for hours. Shooting everything that moves and blowing up $h!t is even more enjoyable when it can be shared with the one you love.

I've had my eye on LC & Guardian of Light since getting my Xbox 360 for Christmas. Glad to hear it's a decent game, I've loved all of the Tomb Raider games so far. I'm definitely going to download this sometime soon (I have a few other games to play through first).

The Tomb Raider moniker is lost on this game. This is MUCH more an arcade game than the Lara Croft games of the past. This is a 'in between' game for me... i.e. I play this game as a light take on gaming when I am not in the mood to take on something like Mass Effect 2.

Yeah, I've read that it's not the typical TR game and some of the reviews have been harsh. It looks pretty fun to me though.

Harsh ? I am surprised at that based of my game play. I was pleasantly surprised by how good I thought the game to be.

I just started playing Deadspace 2 and so far its good. Definitely appears a bit longer than the first game. Very similar to the first game minus the eary twinkle twinkle little star rhyme which would be very appropriate to have in this second one. Does appear to have a condensed plot line from the first game that ended in chapter 6 but I like it so far.

And it really sucks to be Isaac. Poor b**tard.

Playing Prince of Persia on the 360. I like the cooperative aspect of the game for exploration, but find it a bit frustrating when fighting bosses (due to the weird combo system). Also I don't like the fact that you have to fight each boss 5 or 6 different times during the game. It gets repetitious after awhile and shows a lack of imagination of the part of the developers. Graphics are very nice, but the painted look of the Prince is a bit strange at times. Good game, but I think Forgotten Sands is actually better.

Fully engrossed in Mass Effect 2 right now. I finally got around to picking it up during the holidays when Amazon had it for 9.99 on a lightning deal. The game is so cool, even if I kind of miss driving around in the Mako on planets.

I have Final Fantasy XIII waiting in the wings...but I'm a little wary about starting it. I've heard some very mixed reviews and I hate investing a lot of time in slooooooow games that have a weak payoff.

Awesome game.. can't wait to get into the actual sequel.

I got the game half off when you buy Mass Effect 2, but I have no desire to have that game so I'll be returning it. I don't know anything about it - just bought it to get DS2 discounted.
