Well, the card that comes with the binder is ONLY available in the binder, so if someone just had the cards and not the binder they wouldn't be able to complete the Level 1 bonus card subset. A marketing trick back in the day to force you to buy both boxes of cards and the binder to put them in. A lot easier to swallow now that both can be had so cheaply.damien308 wrote:well thats boring
these are dirt cheap. but im really glad cuz im a huge shooter fan and i wasnt able to get these back in the day

A little harsh, how do you know that they didnt genuinely mean to release comics. Thousand s adn thousands of things could have happened to stop them. Clearly they havent just given up after spending huge amounts of money on copywright, law suits, website design, talent, etc. only to quit after making what couldnt have been much off 3 hardcovers.Zaphod wrote:I bought Harbinger. I needed it. XO too. I didn't need A&A and am glad I didn't spend any further money to support this company who I have come to label - disingenuous.
Just one consumers opinion.
disingenuos insinuates they clearly meant to delude you, usually to their profit/gain. VEI havent gained anything by not doing anything for over a year.

Why post updates on a message board that no one goes to? (sorry I2)

I agree its a harsh assessment. I never said I knew their intent but this is my feeling on the matter. Clearly we don't know anything other than what we've been told. Which as has been pointed out, has been nothing for the past year.ian_house wrote:A little harsh, how do you know that they didnt genuinely mean to release comics. If that is their marketing strategy, they were doomed to failure from the start. Coca Cola, one of the most recognizable brands on the planet spends billions on advertising because they know that when it comes to the consumer, out of sight equals out of mind.
Thats a segue to nothing but in my opnion, they intentionally deluded me (I can't speak for how others feel) into believing they were working towards producing monthly pamphlets by the end of last year. Their silence on the matter in these 9 months has been deafening.
I believe they clearly deluded me into believing their interest was in reviving Valiant in a monthly pamphlet format when it seems their true desire was in licensing the properties.
I have no interest in these "rumours" or "hints" that I am not cool enough or in the right crowd to hear about. I want an official statement on their website. As a prospective client and consumer of their material, I'd expect at least that much.
Long post significantly shortened, VEI has lost me as a potential buyer until they win back my money. I don't expect to be in a majority, I am certain I am not alone but that is how I feel on the matter.
You can say what you wish about my opinion on the matter, but they are my opinion. VEI needs to change it and the others who feel like me.

I can definetly see your point man, some kind of clarification, or a simple friendly message would be nice.
Also what is the Valiant Collectors Society, why/where is there a different board?
Gotta agree this is a lot more than a little annoying as well.Zaphod wrote: I have no interest in these "rumours" or "hints" that I am not cool enough or in the right crowd to hear about. I want an official statement on their website.
