Wish I was a better Draw-er, but I like yours the best so far.Brother J wrote:A big thanks to ZWH for the Ninjak Gold, really enjoyed seeing the way it was personalized, especially since I've been sick the last three days, it was definitely a pick-me-up.

Glad you like it, too....the whole thing is apropos, on a number of levels.

Special thanks to Doc for selling me a Rai #3 to help knock out my Final Four (shameless plug). I now have only three left.
It's a shame about the blemish because it is beautiful.
I will only refer to it as "the blemish"

Well, in the true spirit of this thread, this Kudos is LOOONG overdue... it is in 2 parts for 2 people, and I hope everyone reads this so the appreciate spreads to as many people as possible of what they've done to help me!
My first Kudos goes to Shin.
That's sckao for those who don't know. He is a great guy, an amazing collector, and a true asset to these boards and the CGC boards. I urge everyone to join just so they can take part in the amazing creation of the Virtual Comic-Convention.
About 4 months ago, he got some SS books, and he put them up for sale.
[Now, I'd not told anyone, but I've fallen in love with SS books, and decided that although it would be great to have a full Pre-Unity and Unity and Variant set in 9.8, financially I wasn't likely to get there any year soon. But, I decided a great plan would be to get an SS book in 9.2 or better of every first issue of Valiant.]

Anyway, I had already acquired Turok 1, and A&A 0, and was primed for a long hard road. But, when Shin offered these up for sale I could not afford them. Well, after a very short amount of chatting he said it would be no biggie to hold them for me. Well, he was kind enough to wait a couple months until I could afford to pay him. And, this was ironed out before he knew I was going for this long-term goal. Shin, I appreciate your help so much!

My second Kudos goes to Chris, you know him as ckb. I sent him a dozen of my books mostly last and first issues, and he was kind enough to pre-screen for me to let me know what was and was not worth it. Well, I couldn't afford to pay for them all at once, but around the same time someone was selling an EW 27 VVSS 9.6 CGC on the CGC boards, and not only did he wait on the payment for my own slabbed books, but he also bought this book and held onto it with my other books until I could afford it. The better half and I went through a tough time last year financially during the first year in the life of our daughter. But, when the dust settled, and I came up with the money, Chris had waited awhile without a single word against it. Thank you so much, Chris.

On a side note, my Harby 1 came back 9.4, my Harby 0 came back 9.6, my Rai 5 a 9.6, and my Thor 337 came back 9.4. So, I think I did fairly decently.
