Unfortunately, none of us know if he was a GK or VALIANT character. I suspect he was GK all the way, though.
VEI might know, but they're not telling.

Has anyone checked the copyright notices at the end of the DVD to see if it says anything about it?

Spider People... Spider Aliens

Could Chichak's tribe have been inspired by the aliens?

I find it an interesting contrast that Turok finds more of his people - who were technologically neolithic - and they contrast that by Chichak leading a nation of paleolithic neanderthals, who are even more primitive.

Why?

The aliens visited Earth for millions of years, why couldn't Chichak's people had come to worship them?

Sure is, but a good one. There even was a Gold Key issue where Turok and Andar hitch-hiked with aliens that were a bit spiderish.

/Magnus

PS, they even got to see there own village on the other side of the mountains, which totally contradicts the isolated Lost Land of Valiant.

What they saw was a temporal mirage of their village reflected off a time arc and projected into a clearing in the Lost Valley.

How's that for a retcon? :P
