Trinity Angels revival a joke right?
Moderators: Daniel Jackson, greg
Outcast just seemed kind of out there to me. Probably just because it was something new while everything else seemed to be coming to a close.
Berdinka impressed me with his writing on Secret Weapons and it had Breyfogle with an artist.
If there's an untold story to it or about it, its likely somebody here has knoweldge of it (if anybody utside of the creative team does) and I'd be interested in hearing about.

All I know is that it was Berdinka's special project. I agree it had promise, but I also agree it was out there.Geomancer wrote:Outcast just seemed kind of out there to me. Probably just because it was something new while everything else seemed to be coming to a close.

Norm Breyfogle did take the time to respond to my question.
So far, I have been unable to locate a means of contacting Jesse Berdinka, but if I do, I will try again.I'm sorry, but I really have no other info to impart. I don't know where The Outcast was to fit into the Valiant universe, and for that matter, I don't even know why it didn't go forward past that one special issue.
The folks to ask would be the Valiant publishers.
I do know that the sales response to the introduction of new creators to the Valiant universe (which included my few issues of Bloodshot) wasn't great enough to continue with the new creators (Neal Adams - with his female vampire title - was among those creators; that was, in fact the first time I ever met Neal). We were all flown out to a press event in NYC and we thought it was going to be a longer association, but I assume the comics implosion at the time killed it.

Considering how quiet VEI has been about their plans for the future, and the unlikelihood of Rich Johnson having had access to the encyclopedia prior to the launch, what in all likelihood happened was that he saw the press release, visited the site on the same day before it was posted, saw the Trinity Angels summary and decided to make a joke by connecting it to the other "trinity" projects.
The problem isn't so much that he said it, but that he posted it with a green light.

I agree.
I think he'd posted some variation of his joke about there being more than one upcoming Trinity series in an earlier blog. I think it was when he found out Top Cow or someone like that was using the name for one of their upcoming projects in addition to the news he'd previously reported on DC's weekly Trinity series.
So browsing through here and coming across another Trinity led to further fuel for him trying to keep that running joke alive.
hopefully, all those who dropped by for a visit and checked out the Trinity Angels page didn't stop browsing there and saw some of the other characters.

Judging by the top ten, it doesn't look like it since no other pages have gone up in space or appeared on it, while Trinity Angels came out of nowhere and reached the fourth spot.Geomancer wrote:I agree.

Rai has been the perpetual #2 since the site was made, heh.Geomancer wrote:The rest of the top 4 are the main page (which had articles pointing to it recently) and then Harbinger and X-O - both of which have had or will be having a HC with new material.
So yeah, a lot of them might not have chosen to go any further than Trinity Angels.

So Rai has been at #2 since the site started? Any known explanation for that?

That makes sense.ManofTheAtom wrote:Not really, heh.Geomancer wrote:my bad.
harbinger is further down the list, and its actually Rai thats in a top 4 spot.
Interesting that Rai is there.
Rai was the very first summary, so all the trial and error for the rest of the wiki happened in its section.
I'd do more to promote certain characters, but i'm really still waiting out more info on VEI's upcoming plans.
