Post by acc205 »

Has anyone ever noticed that Shadowman isnt wearing his mask on the last panel of eternal warrior #1? The same image as the cover to Unity #0 where he is wearing his mask :D

Janet vs. Paul... colorists take a stand and choose a side! :o

Mask or No Mask, that is the question! Who will survive in this battle to the <strike>death</strike> Doc Marten's? :atomic:

It's an all-out-no-holds-barred-free-for-all-... I'm sorry, I got carried away there. :|

What I meant to say was, "So what?" :D

Actually, the panel in EW is a few seconds later. He wasn't believing what he was seeing, so he took off the mask to get a better view.

This brings up a HUGE topic in comics that is seldom talked about...

"Is the cover part of continuity?"

Many times things that happen on the cover don't happen on the interiors.

Actually, Valiant was really good about having the action on the cover
appear somewhere in the book... I like to call them "cover panels"...
but I'm not sure how much further after Pre-Unity / Unity that continued.

I used to love that too (great example is Magnus #4). I think it was more of a Shooter thing from his early DC days. If you read some of those old Legions that he wrote a lot of them start with a dramatic splash page that is basically a blow-up of a panel in the story. Something like a teaser, must be a remnant of the good ol' days.

Yep... I thought it was awesome. I have the "cover panel" from Solar #4...
just an inside panel on a random page... but it shows the scene from the cover.
