Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Dang, it's such a shame the omnipotently powerful artifacts are off the table because it's been a long standing ambition of mine to gain unholy power and be utterly corrupted by it, smiting the *SQUEE* out of everyone before crashing out spectacularly and taking a good number of the buggers with me.
[sigh]
Failing that, hmmm, Hunter Roses cane was pretty pimp.

So does that make you our king? I don't remember voting for you....greg wrote:I vote for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

[Or the Black Hood's hood (Impact version).]
To hades with his hood. I want his GUN. It's not often that someone names a setting on their gun after the person they intend to kill with that setting.
(For the record, the gun had three settings - "Stun", "Kill", and "Comet", with the Comet being the former hero-turned-villain that he designed the gun to defeat.)
That said, I'd go with the mind gem. Let's see your giant boxing glove hit me when you think your nearest ally is me in disguise...
But *if* I was slated to take a power ring, it would so be Power Ring's. No time limit? Check. No anti-killing instructions? Check. No yellow weakness? Check.
(OK, so the entire demon possessing the ring thing might be a negative, but hey, nothing's perfect...)

I loved (and still love re-reading) the Impact books. The Crucible was a cool mini.Byrneout wrote:[Or the Black Hood's hood (Impact version).]
