I'm actually a little confused now. I never noticed a color difference in VR and non-vr books. So what the heck are you guys talking about?

With VV some colors are brighter than others so that some will receede into the background and others will pop off the page.

I thought it was cool. I don't remember getting a headache. However I never had much up there to ache. PSI-Lords rocked with it.

I can't believe the voting is as close as it is. I voted on this yesterday and it was close then, I figured the nays would have it by now in a landslide victory. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I am not a fan of the bright flashy colors in the Valiant Vision books. It reminds me too much of the guy down the street that mows his lawn in a bright yello speedo, while his "buddy" drinks lemonade.

Mowing the lawn in speedos seems so...wrong.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Nah, I want it to be the joke that it is first... once it's run it's course, then maybe.

Maybe.

I just discovered my Harbinger talent:

Although I am color blind, I can read VALIANT comic books using Valiant Vision without getting a headache (and with corrective glasses on to boot)...

So I'm voting "Yes"

I voted No.

The last thing i want them to do (well, one of the last things i want them to do) is bring back valiant vision. To me it basically dumbed down the book, I really like the art and look of those early valiants. ...valiant vision was a very cheesy gimmick. A good colorist can really do a great job on a comic book, and that's what i want to see great art...not 'stupid' gimmicks.

I recognize the detriments of the system and by no means am I advocating that it be brought back in force. I believe that the occasional use of the system would be fun. Heck, they could even offer a regular and a Valiant Vision edition of a title like DC just did with Action Comics. That way both the purists and the Vision-aries can be happy with the book they purchase.
