Maybe the poll should have read this way:
Everyone go read a few VALIANT Visions books at one sitting and then come and answer this question: Should DNV use VV in any of the new books?
Does VV work for color blind people??? Just wondering. Im betting we have at least one person here that is color blind...

Maybe it goes back to my love for monster B-movie cinema, but I love 3-D comics. Only thing is, they usually suck. The one single exception - Valiant Vision! I LOVED Valiant Vision. 3-D comics in stunning full color that still looked just fine without the glasses! It's the best 3-D system ever and I say it should definitely make a comeback!

I voted yes because I thought it looked pretty good in some instances! Of course, I never took more than 10 minutes to read a comic book so I'm not entirely sure what its like to get a headache after half an hour...
And what was cool thing about ValVis was that unlike regular 3D comics, you could read the comics without them so if you didn't like the effect - then it wasn't needed!

VH2 is the scourge of the Earth, Iron Man/X-O never happened, you hate the Goat but you love Valiant Vision?
The more I get to know you, the less I knew about you. Certainly complex, MotA.
Just wow.

Unlike X-O/IM, Deathmate worked in a way that fit VALIANT continuity (i.e. Solar splitting in Rai 0), as well as not contradict the premise of the VALIANT Universe (heroes in the real world).Chiclo wrote:Wow.ManofTheAtom wrote:That's true.Daniel Jackson wrote:Psst...he likes Deathmate too.Chiclo wrote:Wait, wait, wait.

The Image Universe wasn't established as being fictional in the VALIANT Universe, and the concepts used in Deathmate (i.e. Gen 13, Union, Youngblood, Cyberforce, and others) fit with the VALIANT concepts.

I'm one of the ones that voted to bring it back. Why? I had fun with it. It brought something new to comics that was just blue and red, or any of the other countless gimmics that you couldnt do anything with really.
The plus side was you didnt HAVE to wear the glasses to enjoy the books, as someone else already stated.
I think it would be nice for them to do the books with VV. It's the one thing that they could do for people who voted either way. They could please us both at the same time, so why not, you know?

Well, it really depends on the story as there aren't that many comics that used the VV effect.IanAlexavier wrote:Hello?? Strong colors?? How about God-awful colors? Ew.. It was almost always a distraction from the story..ManofTheAtom wrote:

There was the Solar VR issue, Psi-Lords, and the Destroyer three parter.
In the case of the VR issue the coloring effect was justified.
In the case of Psi-Lords the setting and characters justified the effect.
If anything the effect may have felt out of place in the Destroyer story, but even that may be debatable.

Just means he doesn't have any strong feelings on it.400yrs wrote:ManofTheAtom wrote:but even that may be debatable. This is the second most astonishing post by MOTA tonight - that he believes something may be debatable. That one is right behind the admission that VH2 Shadowman (16-21) was the best Shadowman.

Then again, that is pretty astonishing.
