Just my opinion.
I missed something.

Why is the publisher of the new Valiant insulting a fan?

I can think of a few possible reasons.

1) The whole deal with ZWH which has been ongoing for years

or

2) Maybe something happened back in the day when Walter was the publisher at Acclaim that he does not want to publicly share.

However, I could be TOTALLY wrong. :thumb:

Either way, Walt summed the guy up pretty well.

Oh, I thought he was trying out VEI's new slogan:

"Valiant Entertaiment, where we think you're an *SQUEE* but that's just our opinion."

Seriously that's just a really strange post to bump into in the middle of thread that exists to promote their product.

It came a minute after another similar post in jmpet's "Ask me a question" thread. So it started over there, but there is obviously some interesting backstory.

I have a feeling something happened when jmpet was raiding valiant headquarters...maybe some of the things he has/had weren't procured by honorable means...this is purly speculation...and only TWT can answer fully

So he folowed Joe around (virtually speaking) for a minute to repeatedly call him an *SQUEE*?

I think so. Hell, I've done it in real life so I suppose it's not so bad on a message board.

i prefer the original. the new look just takes away from that good ol valiant feel. just another crisply drawn comic, and not the hand painted comics we love. i dunno, ill reserve judgement until i see the new story.

I'm sure someone's ego has something to do with that.

I am looking forward to this new story, and I hope it's good.

Thanks for the preview Greg.

Doubt it. That would give the impression that either there is no art or that Shooter was the artist, niether of which I'd think anyone on the project wanted.

Besides, judging from the recent Newsarama article, Shooter didn't even sound all that attached to the project, but it's not like he's ever wanted to deny credit to others (artists, co-writers, co-creators, etc) on any project he's ever done.

How about "it wasn't mentioned to make it a surprise"?

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Most likely it just wasn't confirmed or set in concrete yet when they had to turn in the stuff for the solicition/ads.
