Interesting stuff. We should spin off a "second prints" thread.

Bizarre. Who knew second prints could be more valuable than firsts?Escaflown4 wrote:You guys also forgot to mention New Mutants 87 and X-Men 248 that had 2nd print runs. Even tho they are 2nd prints, there are some instances that they are more sought out then the original. Good examples are the latest Director's cut of ASM #509, Avengers #500 and Astonish X-Men #1.

Yes, New Mutants #87 had a second print, and it is UGGGGly. There are even more than this, of course.

Captain America #282 had a silver '2nd print', and so did Amazing Spiderman #265, but...like the Spidey #101, these are years and years and years after the originals, so they're not *quite* second prints...they're reprints, technically.
I know, big difference...
By the by...there are also second printings of most DC books from 1986-1989 (done IN 1989), that went into multi packs, and these can usually be distinguished by having a newsstand price box, but a direct edition UPC, as well as 1989 ads, as opposed to 1986.
And lest we forget....what about the 2nd prints of GI Joe from #2-#35ish?
