I informed my LCS that I would be ordering 3 copies of it...Another Comic buyer that gets pretty much anything that comes out also said that he would like 2 of them for the new Shooter story.
So with this many being ordered right off the bat the owner said he will order 10 of them to start with

Given that it already has its own cover, we could be looking at an eventual solo release of just the "Origin of Harada" story or as part of a future FCBD offering.Todd Luck wrote:Could be an insert (it does have it's own cover) that's 8-22 pages. It could be in the hardcover and be less than 10 pages, "cover" and all, since that's a fairly average length for an original extra of this sort. Regardless, 25 bucks just for that is too much for me (and I'd imagine for most folks). I can only rebuy the same material so many times.dellamorte wrote:This is all great news. Shooter and Hall now that is a Valiant dream team. Bob Hall just did a piece of art for me and I tell you all now that the man is at the top of his game. This is going to be something special.
I'd be interested to hear from a source in the know if the new story is in fact separate from the hc or included. I know MOTA broke it down but those numbers could be off if they don't give each cover it's own page, maybe it's all eight spread over two pages or they don't have two pages for credits. The only thing Greg's post states is that the new story will have it's own cover but we don't know if that cover is printed in the book and we don't know how long this new story is.
Regardless I'm getting a bit excited about this.
Like I said, I hope VEI goes the route of Dark Horse and puts it online.

Todd I respect your view on this being it's only a slight upgrade in quality and an 8 page NEW story I do feel like your in minority at least in my view...Todd Luck wrote:Could be an insert (it does have it's own cover) that's 8-22 pages. How much will we get from Jim Shooter, and how much is from his memorymagnusr wrote:I've seen one of those pages on the open market, so probably at least that page is away from the company's access.Ryan wrote:It was expanded to 128 pages so that would be a nice HC for new and old fans alike. or (even better) from a refined, optimized, stratified, polished version
of what Valiant could have been?
If you asked me to tell you a story in 1992, I would have.
If you asked me to think about that story from 1992 for fifteen years,
I'd probably have a better one to tell in 2007.

Well... unless you are .... this guy

Then maybe the story would have been better in 1992.

I think that may be the worst picture of Richards that I have ever seen. Why wear makeup when it will make your face look gouged.Elveen wrote:greg wrote:How much will we get from Jim Shooter, and how much is from his memorymagnusr wrote:I've seen one of those pages on the open market, so probably at least that page is away from the company's access.Ryan wrote:It was expanded to 128 pages so that would be a nice HC for new and old fans alike. Yeah I'm quoting myself because Bob Hall isn't inking his pencils for the new story for those who wanted to know....betterthanezra wrote:Don't be suprised if Bob Hall inks this himself...k_c_collectibles wrote:Greg,

I can't really see a reason to keep the inker on this a mystery...myron wrote:betterthanezra wrote:No it's Not Layton....I'm not sure i can really say who is inking it yet....It's NOT Tom Rydermyron wrote:who do you think...Layton?betterthanezra wrote:Yeah I'm quoting myself because Bob Hall isn't inking his pencils for the new story for those who wanted to know....betterthanezra wrote:Don't be suprised if Bob Hall inks this himself...k_c_collectibles wrote:Greg,

We already know who's penciling it...
The inker on this is Joe Rubinstein...his last work on a Valiant book Unity 2000
