True. And nothing signals 'villain' like either necrophilia or incest...

...really, what comes close?

Other than the likes of Sosa (Shadowman foe) and abusive treatment/inflicting pain on children?

He also killed children. Not a nice guy.

So none of you think Geoff was gay?

I'm going to have to go re-read this "Harbinger zero" that you speak of.

Nothing says it's necessarily a male superhero that the letter page was speaking of.

THAT'S why I missed the whole Sting-is-gay thing. I still haven't gotten my hands on a Harby pink yet.

That, and you know, he was doing a chick.

He was introduced after Unity.

This is a pre-Unity hero.

(Was just kidding about the Off-Topic)

I'm double off topic...Post-Unity, and he's not a "hero" (just a cool villain)

I think when you read the last couple of issues with Torque, it's pretty clear Sting was the one who was going to be gay.

When Sting enters Torque's head, and hears Chris say she loves Torque, Sting says "I love him, too." And there were a couple of other hints in the later Jim Shooter Harbinger issues, like Sting rejecting Flamingo's advances during Unity, etc.

It's too bad Shooter didn't last long enough to make it happen. I think it would have been a really cool statement. And certainly in line with the old "X-Men as mutants/Harbingers as different/gays and lesbians as different" theme.

It was supposed to be Sting. Back in his Broadway days me & my buddies were getting some books signed by Shooter at a NY Con (it was held at the Roosevelt Hotel at the time) and he confirmed it was supposed to be Sting. Looks like he was setting up the angle but never got to finish due to his departure from Valiant.
