True. And nothing signals 'villain' like either necrophilia or incest...Daniel Jackson wrote:They liked to push the envelope back then, that's for sure...leonmallett wrote:*SQUEE* wrote:More likely a necrophiliac.Rufusharley wrote:I think Master Darque was gay.

Other than the likes of Sosa (Shadowman foe) and abusive treatment/inflicting pain on children?

I think
I think when you read the last couple of issues with Torque, it's pretty clear Sting was the one who was going to be gay.
When Sting enters Torque's head, and hears Chris say she loves Torque, Sting says "I love him, too." And there were a couple of other hints in the later Jim Shooter Harbinger issues, like Sting rejecting Flamingo's advances during Unity, etc.
It's too bad Shooter didn't last long enough to make it happen. I think it would have been a really cool statement. And certainly in line with the old "X-Men as mutants/Harbingers as different/gays and lesbians as different" theme.

It was supposed to be Sting. Back in his Broadway days me & my buddies were getting some books signed by Shooter at a NY Con (it was held at the Roosevelt Hotel at the time) and he confirmed it was supposed to be Sting. Looks like he was setting up the angle but never got to finish due to his departure from Valiant.
