Valiant Baby is Born!

Post by soundoftheuniverse »

My daughter Janessa Givens was born this afternoon, on my Birthday!!

I got everything on my DV cam along with about a thousand pictures so far haha.

She's beautiful 20 inches long with some long feet just like her daddy.

I'm thinking we're gonna have a Volleyball dynasty in our neck of the woods in another decade or so :D Don't get me started on why Basketball is out of the picture.

Anyway, I gotta grab a few valiants to read to the wifey at the Hospital... per her request. I'm gonna bring Rai this time, she likes him.

Congratulations.

Of course, I would have expected a name like "Carmen" or "Erica", but I guess "Janessa" has its own virtues as well. :)

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

All you proud parents know that feeling the first time you see your baby pop out... Amazing! :D Then of course there's the 2 hours of nightly sleep, ummm I'm frikkin tired right now.

I'm soo happy I wasn't off gallivanting around the world putting a ball in a hoop this time around. It really makes you appreciate your family a lot more when you see your kids born.

Nonetheless I had to leave that Hospital room for at least a few hours to check the boards and make sure the house is nice and tidy for our little addition that's coming home tomorrow. :D
