So, you're suggesting that Trump is an actual conservative?BugsySig wrote:Vince is buddies with Trump, and his wife, Linda, ran twice for Senate as a conservative Republican in CT, losing both times before being named Head of the Small Business Administration by Trump. So, yeah, they’re conservative. But if in some parallel universe Vinny Mac bought VEI, he’d sell anything if it made a buck regardless of any personal or political values. Though I doubt you’d see Hillary on any future covers.greg wrote:I'm sure you understand that companies which specifically market to conservatives in order to satisfy profit margins for shareholders are not sincere about it.eschnit wrote:... given how liberal VEI is and conservative the WWE is.
There's a big difference between being a true conservative "good ole boy" and being a billionaire who profits from them (monetarily, politically, etc.). The billionaire just has to act the part when the cameras are on and the "good ole boys" will buy it (literally)... hook, line, and stinker.
Interesting.

If Dave Bautista is a gateway to other stars, fantastic. Whatever his acting skills are or aren't, if he listed his profession today, it's actor, not wrestler at this point. He floats about in the right circles. I can't conceive of Leto playing Bloodshot and Bautista playing Eternal Warrior. Jared Leto has range, but it's a stretch for him to play Bloodshot, especially opposite Dave Bautista, for multiple reasons.greg wrote:I'm sure you understand that companies which specifically market to conservatives in order to satisfy profit margins for shareholders are not sincere about it.eschnit wrote:... given how liberal VEI is and conservative the WWE is.

The volume of comic movies and TV shows being released seems to do two things at this point. It dilutes the effect of any one product being released, and it makes it more likely that it will happen at all.
For what it's worth, Punisher is very good imo, the Netflix release with Jon Bernthal. Something of that quality would potentially do Valiant wonders. It'd be challenging, but feels plausible.

Cena was on to discuss his animated movie “Ferdinand.” BloodShot could eat the bull for a good protein source.DirtbagSailor wrote:Well damn, we all missed that hint lol!BugsySig wrote:FYI the Jimmy Fallon ep tonight with John Cena is a repeat from December 12th.

Re: Predictions for VEI in 2018?
My prediction is that we'll see a second wave of Harbinger, and Bloodshot titles to coincide with the Harbinger film. I think Faith, Deathmate, and Livewire are the most likely candidates. I'd also be interested in seeing Visitor, but that might be further on.
