Re: 2016 Teases
I suppose I meant explored rather than revealed, or revealed as in getting a good look at who and what they are and have become.Shadowman99 wrote:I guess the three Divinities were all revealed in the original arc, as it stated pretty clearly that three cosmonaughts went on the mission.leonmallett wrote:Interesting. Presumably time to start mumbling 'Mothergod' or something?
So will the third cosmonaut be revealed in Divinity II or Divinity III?
You're not the only person to have 'Mothergod' pop into their mind. I wonder if there will be a Phil Seleski/Erica Pierce parallel further down the line between Abram and this second cosmonaught?

Re: 2016 Teases
Could be brought there via time travel. Or it could be a different incarnation of an 'Archer' separate from Obidiah.Shadowman99 wrote:Genuine question here, not trying to wind you up: How could Archer be alive in 4001? Would it be something to do with his psiot abilities, or an ability to traverse time somewhat via the Faraway perhaps?Keith wrote:In theory, all those characters could still exist in some way/shape/form in 4001. Granted, it would probably be a new person in the X-O armor, and Bloodshot would be on his almost last legs.Shadowman99 wrote:I think Armstrong features in the comic, not Archer. I guess in theory any character could be taken anywhere in time by Ivar/Neela. Probably see it happen at some point in the future, as Armstrong/EW were already taken to 4001 by Ivar in his comic.Brapbrap wrote:I think that X-O, Bloodshot and Archer might be taken to 4001 by Neela, I kind of hope they don't do that though.

Oh I agree, I doubt VEI would make that mistake, the two other cosmonauts will be supporting characters at best.BugsySig wrote:I think people are over reacting to that teaser image. We already knew the female astronaut would be appearing in the follow up mini. I doubt VEI is stupid enough to not feature their breakout creation in the second eponymous miniseries. I have a feeling this astronaut comes to Earth as a result of Divinity's arrival here.agent_graves wrote:At the rate they're releasing these mini's, (once every 12-14 months) if they went that route, Kindt wouldn't touch base with Divinity again until 2018.Shadowman99 wrote:Maybe it's a matter of patience - I'd love to see the entire second and third arcs constitute the origin story for the other two cosmonaughts that were on Abram's ship, with further arcs from there using the characters in more interactive contexts. I don't mind a story being told slowly and patiently if it's a good oneagent_graves wrote:I hope II and or III, are not complete origins of the next two cosmonauts. It's still so much ground that needs to be covered with Divinity, and unfortunately, they're sticking to the 4 issue format.leonmallett wrote:Interesting. Presumably time to start mumbling 'Mothergod' or something?

IKRTrue, I'm still waiting for the 1960's Black Russian Communist part to kick in.

Valiant teasing stuff that we already know about is not really exciting, hopefully tomorrow we get something better.

I don't really think we are the target audience VEI is trying to reach with these teasers through Bleeding Cool. That being said, I am excited about the Ninjak teaser they just released and I don't think I'd heard about it previously.Ras the future fan wrote:Valiant teasing stuff that we already know about is not really exciting, hopefully tomorrow we get something better.

Anyone remember that white board with a bunch of story ideas in it related to Book of Death?
Pretty sure it had the "Siege of Kings Castle" on there. I wonder if there's anything else on there we haven't seen/heard of yet?
Anyone have that pic somewhere?

Good call Bugsy you have a sharp memory.
Tama?
Angels (maybe the Trinity Angels)
The Divine Invasion (could happen in Divinity II)
War of the Brothers?
Eternal?
Ninjak-X?
A New Unity (this roster kinda reminds me of the spread in BOD#1)
The Vine Executions (could be a reference to the "kill list")
Sandria (something to do with the Darque's)

Re: 2016 Teases
We've seen a lot of those things so far either in BoD or some other books, but there's quite a few left.
I think Eternal refers to what became Wrath of EW.
I wonder if Britannia is "Savage"?
WW GinGr...was this the return of Armor Hunters in Unity?
Cn-Cr = Evil GinGr?
I agree on Divinity and the Vine executions.
The War of the Brothers was brought up in BoD Fall of Bloodshot I think.
Bloodshot vs. XO will be in Analogue Man I believe.
I do want more in the Torment. XO #50 maybe?
Trinity Angels and Trouble Makers...Well, we saw Bad Eggs in Unity #25, so anything is possible.
More Sandria? Yes, please. Perhaps connected to this Ghost Rebellion?

Ninja-x is from 4001 because it'll take MI6 that long to get to the letter X if the others are as good as Ninjak!Brapbrap wrote:Ninja-x is one of the other ninjas employed by mi6, ninjak is technically ninja-k

That whiteboard looks genuine in some respects and a wind up in others. 'Pirate Armstrong'... I mean, it's entirely possible we could see that in a comic, but is it really so important it needs to make it to that board? 'Bloodshot Dinosaur Hunter? Wind up, seriously.
'Angels' with a triangle behind it undoubtedly says 'Trinity Angels' to me

Cn-Cr - working title for Gin-Gr?
'Hard Corps Massacre' - Isn't that every issue that they feature in?!
Troublemakers though

'Anti-geomancer' is surely the Immortal Enemy?
Anyway, I have other stuff to do so I'm leaving that there for now, but I'm taking that photo with a hefty pinch of salt.

Re: 2016 Teases
I think the board is a combo of items we'll see in upcoming storylines and items that were alluded to in Book of Death and not necessarily going to be stories told. Pirate Armstrong and the War of the Brothers were mentioned in the Fall of Bloodshot and possibly so far in the future we will never see it. Eternal could cover what we are seeing at the end of Book of Death and start of Wrath of the Eternal Warrior. And Savage they have been teasing for awhile.
