PG is just a fanfic, it's not an official comic book from VEI. That much is a fact. I thought I read in another thread that Playing God was commissioned from VEI and whether or not it is "canon" was still up in the air? Maybe I misread that. As for how Valiant can best do things... that is a thread...

Well VEI doesn't own Turok anymore and the Shadowman video game was based off of the Acclaim version, wasn't he? Yes, but the first Turok game was based on the VALIANT/Gold Key version, not the Acclaim version. A question that I don't know is answerable but I keep falling back on is, How much of th...

Funny how when fanboys at DC, Marvel, and Dynamite revive 30, 40, and even 50 year old characters, it's okay to respect that continuity. I have not been following Dynamite, but I imagine that the characters have been "Revamped" to fit the 2000s. But the old characters that have been revived by DC a...

Turok and Shadowman were not the only Valiant comic characters that sold millions in video games. Batman/Mario. It's so obvious. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that existed already. DC can publish whatever the hell they want, like the JLA meeting Bugs Bunny (which does actually exist), b...

Yours is the greatest of micro-thinking. Continuity only continues if there are sales. The Valiant people have said they are greatful for the 600 or so Valiant fans still out there like you and me but they are wanting to move more than 600 books a month. To do that, they have to sell books which ma...

When you mix Mephisto with the Parker Luck, you should expect the worst outcome in history, but instead all we've seen is what the so-called "braintrust" of Spidey fanboys thinks is best for the character. Marvel's method with that particular storyline is MOTA's worst nightmare for Valiant ... they...

I posted it to incite debate, so people can discuss the content of the comics and how it may relate to VEI. So, you weren't seriously looking for a legal opinion ? If you start a thread like this to incite debate, you deserve whatever goat-love gets thrown your way. That would be part of the debate.

They own what Valiant previously published. They could have led off with a Magnus or Solar HC book, but they would need permission to produce "new material". If they aren't able to get the rights to publish new material, I would have to agree it makes more sense to focus on putting advertising (in ...

Now that I think about it, this is worrisome.

Let's clear this right now.

Nothing I post comes from VEI, I don't speak for VEI, nothing I say is VEI approved (unless otherwise noted)

It sounds like VEI owns the copyrights to those titles that Valiant previously printed. So they could reprint those stories and nobody else would be able to. Which I think has already been pretty much established. :hm: Could they tell new stories that used content from those comics? If they do own ...

For the current Marvel management would the whole Spiderman one more day saga count as a failure, it did not go over very well. Guess its never a good idea to erase 20 years of a characters history on an editors whim. I actually thought it was selling quite well . . . And the recent Venom storyline...
