Re: Vita Ayala and Heather Antos Talk Livewire
Pre-established fan base?
Hey Heather I was reading Valiant when you were 2 years old.
Isn't that her point? There's already a fanbase for X-O, Bloodshot and Ninjak. It's not as hard to get people to pay attention to them as a newer character like Livewire or Punk Mambo.

Re: LCS closing, any good online retailer suggestions?
The last time I was in a comic shop in Ottawa was over 20 years ago, but it was a Silver Snail franchise... how long ago did that place close down there?
It closed years ago. I kind of hated going to it because of the location and lack of parking (same problem with the comic book shoppe's sister ...

Re: LCS closing, any good online retailer suggestions?
:o News to me! This shop is kind of the heart of the comic shop scene in Ottawa and where I first found VEI books.
Hope all works out for them and they can avoid closing.
For those interested, more info here: https://www.gofundme.com/save-the-cbs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We have 4 other shops in the city but none of the other shops will carry Valiant booksjeremycoe wrote:It sounds like there are other shops in Ottawa, are they not willing to put them in a hold for you?

One store I refuse to deal with anyways because of the staff/customer service I've experienced there.

Awesome, thanks IMJ!
Haven't ever had to purchase online before. Being in Canada, ordering from the US, after currency conversion and shipping, has always been too expensive. It looks like there's no alternative now though.

LCS closing, any good online retailer suggestions?
Our only LCS in Ottawa, Canada, that still carries Valiant books announced today they owe $150K in unpaid taxes and are probably going to close
Any suggestions on good online retailers to buy Valiant books from?

I REALLY want this to be good... but man, I am worried. Is it fair to say if this thing totally bombs that's the end of Valiant (for another decade or so)?

I've got a photo of it... it looks to be in decent shape and I thought it was some kind of reprint until I saw that page. I requested more photos of it including the interior with the edition information, date etc.

Re: What's your best
Forgive my V1 noobness in some respects but - why is Mag 25 spiking? (according to guide)
Only Greg knows for sure, but I assume it is a mistake. It will be a long, long, long time before Magnus #25 is a $10 book.
The two most recent sales were $6 and $7 for VF/NM copies. Very weird, but that's ...

Re: Most Expensive ($1K+) VEI Sales to Date?
I wouldn't say it's a good investment, but if you're a huge Valiant fan and have the money to spare then why not?
If you want an "investment" book, I'd suggest there are much better options to drop 1K on.

Nice! These were actually a buy from a Facebook group. Someone in a small city of 6000 people had these sitting around and just wanted then gone. She said she can't give Valiant books away so she was happy to get anything for them

What's your best "dollar bin" Valiant find?
I've finally, after years of searching, gotten lucky myself and found these 4 books for $4 CAD (Less than $3 US). Pretty happy and got me wondering what other people have been lucky to find over the years.

Redneck was pretty good and will be added to my monthly titles. I'm in the minority who didn't really get blown away by God Country, but I really like how Cates has set up this series. Plus, Vampires > sci/fi fantasy stuff imo
