Re: Unity #2 Discussion
I suppose I'm the only one who hated the battle within the computer system? I liked the characterization of livewire, and the overall story progression; but I hated that element.
Also, why would Aric have his men on the ship fighting with spears and the like? That doesn't seem like the actions of ...

Re: Harbinger #18 Discussion
Interestingly enough, this was one of my least favorite issues of the series so far. While there were definitely some interesting events, I feel like a great deal of it was decompression, which usually kills a story for me. I liked the dream sequence, and showing Harada's schedule, and it definitely ...

Re: XO Manowar #19 art
I absolutely loved the art. Definitely my favorite Nord art so far. Its different, but thats a good thing imo. I feel like it had an organic and weighted feel to it. Would love if every issue could be like this.

Re: Harbinger #17 Discussion
solid issue, though i wish the story could move forward a bit faster, feels kind of decompressed right now. i bet it will read great in a trade, though.
4/5

Re: X-O Manowar #18 Discussion
Oh, and thank you Valiant for not printing the barcodes on the cover! Big win there.
This x infinity! That is a huge turn off to me, when a barcode ruins the front cover. Marvel's covers kill me with all their campaigning, barcodes, logos and ads on the cover. It definitely has an impact on my ...

Re: "Planet Death" overall thoughts and discussion.
In defense of the series, that's what we're getting now. I wouldn't say he's "adapted quickly to the status quo" because he has only dealt with the status quo briefly before being interrupted and hoisted off planet. This present arc is more about Aric, his past and the repercussions of his ...

Re: "Planet Death" overall thoughts and discussion.
Honestly, I feel like it was one of the weaker arcs thus far. It served it's purpose for the story being told, but it read more like a transitional story. I did like the origin of the armor, that was a nice add. I actually enjoyed that the name was "misleading". I personally feel like it would have ...

Re: A thought about X-O
While I agree with much of what you say, I'd like to offer a defense: I didn't see Aric becoming a king and starting a war from the way planet death began. I wouldn't say that the Visigoth ancestors or Gafti were huge time Mind-F moments but, they did catch me off guard.

Re: 72 hour Valiant shirt sale !!!
Anyone know where I can get shirt measurements? I am pretty picky about the way shirts fit, and the inability to return them makes me think this offer may not be for me. Online shopping is hard.

Re: Is Harada being overused?
I am another who thinks that thus far Harada's use has made sense and been in context.
I have not yet found *any* character in the burgeoning to be over-exposed for my own tastes so far. It may be that there are still so relatively few books that it is a self-limiting factor. Plus add in that ...

Re: Harbinger Patches for Books - Round II
I love the patches but honestly, the cause is what really draws me to this project. Growing up, there wasn't much in the family budget for comics. However, the library near my grandmother occasionally had some trades and I would be in HEAVEN. If it wasn't for library trades, I may not be the comic ...

Re: anyone met Barry Kitson?
Sorry to hear he had to cancel! Definitely try to catch him next time. I met Barry in Baltimore this year and I have to say, I don't regret a single moment that I spent hanging out with the guys at his booth. I spent both days there just hanging out, talking, and just making friends. His booth is ...

Re: Is Harada being overused?
I feel like there are two lines of thought here. The first, "we need more villains". I completely agree that Harada seems to be the overarching "supervillain". However, in the context of the universe, doesn't that make sense? That is his character to be involved in all of these major world events ...

Re: More exclusive creators coming?
Maybe a little off topic, but with the new exclusive artist taking over Harbinger, has anyone heard any Valiant plans for Barry Kitson? I was really enjoying his work on Harbinger and hope they aren't letting him get away. His enthusiasm was actually a big part of what brought me on board.

Re: Valiant has won me over in a big way
I've been reading a few of the Valiant titles since the relaunch, so my story with Valiant starts there for the most part. When I was younger I had a few random issues of Magnus and Solar, but that is neither here nor there. My Valiant story is about the consistant quality of these books, and how ...

Re: Editing errors
In early harbinger issues peoples clothes would alternate from damaged to pristine from panel to panel on occasion. These small oversights really do take me out of a story. I don't feel like its a HUGE issue for valiant exclusively, but I have noticed more art related errors than the other books I ...
